IF GV is going for budget headliners, QOTSA would be the best. They'd be reasonable, have a longer and more reputable career and could hold a headline spot.

The Killers will be there...just not headlining...

yea it is hard to imagine, but with a light show and some guest appearances (like maybe cee-lo, dave grohl, billy gibbons or something) it could be a friday headline show. not to mention that they deserve it after the many sub-headline spots in various fests. but my point is, they'd be a better headliner than the killers in all aspects.

THANK YOU!!!!!
Man, if they're there i am going. no doubt. TELL ME WITH A LIGHT SHOW THAT WOULDN'T BE A BADASS FRIDAY HEADLINER! SHIIIIIIT. and at least a great sundown act.

im so indie

i hadn't considered them as a headliner, but it actually kind of makes sense. many excellent albums, big hit songs, and hell they had a plane advertising their last album flying over the polo fields.

as long as they bring lanegan and maybe grohl just for the extra "star power", I say yes!

Alright. Eagles of Death Metal leading into Queens of the Stone Age leading into a Kyuss reunion. I am so fucking down.

Queens makes sense actually.. with the exception that they don't have an album coming out.
- They are as mainstream as previous headliners like Coldplay, Jack Johnson, NIN, etc..
- They've been putting on better, and better live shows
- They have a history with Coachella, so a 10th year anniversary would be appropriate

I love them..

I'd love to see QOTSA there, but headlining? I don't know about that.

Their popularity is no close to the size of the Killers and I think we all know that.

untrue! longer career + eofdm + kyuss + coachella appearances + board doesn't hate them + desert sessions = headliner material. don't get me wrong, i'm sure they won't but they could!

I have to agree with you even though I'm not a Killers fan. I love, love QOTSA but I don't think that they would headline.

looks like most of that thread is you... and a lot of people are impartial. i think the killers are bad, but i dont like the smiths, cure or eighties rock-pop in general. snooooozes me. they sound better than they used to live (watched one of your posted videos), but they also sound like they should open for phil collins.
anyway, it was just an idea. something to talk about. i agree with myself, naturally, but know that the fillers would get a headline over qotsa, flaming lips, pavement and even mbv because now that jack johnson has played we're gonna need a new jj every year... something terrible and popular to make money. jj set precedence like reagan for pez. shitty popular act at coachella and actor prez, opens doorways for more shitty popular acts and more famous presidents...

This is so inaccurate it's not even funny.
