PSB would be a welcome add and they do a great show, but I'm not sure how Iwould feel about them in a Coachella or tent enivronment.

I've seen them in club venues in the US and a theater venue in the UK, but I'm not sure they make a sensible add in a tent at 100+ degrees.

I knew the name sounded familiar but I couldn't figure out who the Pet Shop Boys were until I saw this. Then I remembered that I played this song on DDRextreme for ps2...

Between New Order in '05
Depeche mode and Madonna in '06
Prince in '08

We need a 80's identity crisis band to make up for '07.

lookin' at it that way I say we need HUMAN LEAGUE! they are amazing live.

and I like Pet Shop Boys as well!

wtf is up with those people running up and down the stairs?

It seems like they always have a couple of "dancers" who are more of a distraction than anything. I wish they would just drop that part of their act.

Look at this vid...such a serious song, and then you've got these monkeys spazzing out.

New album March 23rd, BTW.

Selling 50 million records don't mean a damn thing to some people if you're not in a video game or on a "MySpace Cul Band Alert".

Or in Pitchfork.

I completely second this motion. I had tix to their show last year in LA but the canceled! Still have yet to see them live.

Still have yet to see them live.

Me too and have always wanted to. Really liked their disco-y stuff from a few years back like 'New York City Boy' and 'I'm in Love with a Married Man'. Here's the later if you're arsed:

Saw them at the Sage, Gateshead, UK on theitr last tour. Brilliant, would be good to see them at Coach.

having people on stage whose sole purpose is to dance is always awful.

i loved their stage show this last tour; it was almost like a broadway production.

The truth is that the PSB don't have any stage presence. They need the entertainment around them to keep from being a joke.

A 'friend' of mine advised me not to buy tix for their LA show last year because she said it was the most boring show she'd ever been too!

I say she was the bore!

The truth is that the PSB don't have any stage presence. They need the entertainment around them to keep from being a joke.

There are better ways to go about it than random spazzing. It's fine sometimes, like when they're popping out with funny hats on Always On My Mind.

Integral is a really powerful song, and I loved the way they all came to the front of the stage in a line, like a united front. The dancing was distracting and unnecessary.

The Performance video (Behavior tour?) is amazing. It's about 10 times the production on the last tour.

I saw PSB the first time in 1989 for their Performance Tour at Universal Amplitheater in L.A. They rocked the house. It was extremely theatrical and very high art. I've seen them several times since and every single time they were absolutely amazing. They have an insane amount of songs to choose from that their set would definitely be sick. I couldn't see them doing anything other than the main stage. The Sahara would be too small and it would end up being like the Madonna show(which I wouldn't even call a show really). I guess I could see them at the Outdoor Stage but it wouldn't do them quite the justice.
