Damon Albarn debuted three songs of upcoming Gorillaz material yesterday during his two hour show on Radio 1. The cuts, "Broken," "Electric Shock" and "Stylo/Binge" are all in demo form, but offer an eclectic mix of sounds and styles—from droning organ to hip-hop breakdowns and general electro weirdness. No word on who produced these gems, although URB can confirm that it was not Danger Mouse. Albarn was with partner Jamie Hewlett, the illustrator half of the duo. They discussed "Going to Syria because I've got a real fascination with Arabic orchestral music, We're going at the end of March for Gorillaz.

---great way to promote a new album---at COACHELLA!!

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Huh? They said they were going to Syria at the end of March...
that doesn't sound good.

That's bad news, dude.

depends how you read it---either march: going to syria, or releasing album....who knows.

Those Gorillaz demos are sweet, even though they obviously need polish.

And how is that bad for coach? I see it as good, if anything at all. Gorillaz will be his priority at end of March...

Pants would be creamed (at least mine would) if the Gorillaz ended up playing a night.

As for the demos; they just make me excited for another great piece of work by Albarn.

They'd be good for a Friday headliner.
Or I could see them sub-headline on Sunday.

Yeah, Gorillaz would be sweet, albeit unlikely.
