helloooooo everybody!!!

*waves*

how excited am i?? i just looked at the what to expect thread and now i have butterflies!!

im fran - and myself and garry (streetspirit) are over from the uk for 3 weeks to get married (woohoo!) you can imagine how thrilled we were to get tickets to coachella!

as well as being excited, im also effing terrified having never been to the states before (garry has mr seasoned traveller) but the more i read on coachella the more excited/nervous i am!!!

i have a heap of questions to ask, like... are you really not allowed to take any food or drink in? is it easy to get there and back again? (we're not camping, we're staying in the hotel we booked in hollywood) is there really a smoking lounge and does that mean youre not allowed to smoke outside? are people generally friendly there? it says arts festival too...what kind of arts are there?

okay i'll stop now, but i have a heap more rambling... lol

pleased to meet you all!

Not from hollywood to coachella. you have to drive. you will be spending 4 hours a day driving back and forth from the venue if you stay in Hollywood. You wont be finding a hotel near Coachella now they are all booked up. I would cancel those hotel reservations and buy a couple of onsite camping passes fast. They are about to sell out.

OMG in hollywood we are staying at the roosevelt too... do you have plans on how youre getting back there? if no wanna work something out?

the hotel we booked is near to palm springs it was one of the ones on the list of hotels on the main coachella website. aout 15miles away i think. cant remember the name though ranchos los somethingorother...

snowgirl - im actually from devon lol! how is it down there in the westcountry? i'll be back in newton abbot in march i think... and yes im taking a wedding dress with me! how exciting. the wedding dress is the reason theres no room for camping gear. 3 wks worth of holiday stuff + wedding dress = nooooo space in suitcase!!
