I'm interested in seeing who else has a blatant disregard for their given company's policies concerning proper and acceptable use of property, if they do in fact have these types of policies in place (if you work for a company that allows this sort of soft time then kudos to your company). In other words, are you doing this while at work.

Who's to say it's against policy? Many people are doing it from work and not breaking any rules.

I kind of have the same thing going on. I do a good job and they turn a blind eye to my use of downtime. It's not sanctioned but Nick Burns has my back.

I'd say I do about 3 hours of real work.

After that, it's my own version of a siesta, shoot the shit with my co-workers next door, and chase the female co-workers around and pull a hamstring in the process(this happened yesterday and it hurts like a bitch)

Oh and I'm in my office as I'm typing this.

Proud? No.

Pathetic? Yes.

Of course. I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in my contract; right next to "allowed to take 3-hour lunch breaks."

It's usually my boss distracting me with random viral videos and shit. We both spend half the day dicking around on the internet, and the other half distracting the other person while he's actually in his work half.

What I do is hidden subliminally in my screen-name.
I can always justify being here as 'community outreach'

Not as good as Psychic Friend, probably, but not too bad :)

I am the person that controls the internet access at the office, so yes, I do this from the office, as long as all my work is done, I can do whatever I want, plus if they ever would want to give me shit about it, I'll simply edit the logs before giving them a report on my own internet usage haha. but I know that will never happen. I work for an internet bases company after all.

However I'm typing this post from home.

Ahh hell yeah...I'm a rule breaker, this would be considered internet use abuse, but I get my work done and they pay me what is easily considered minimum wage for the SF area!!! So fuck 'em!!!

yah I get paid to sit on the net... the responsible (and overly busy part of me) wouldn't come and hang here while at work though for more than a few minutes.
