Can we make a list of who absolutely WON'T be added so people will stop talking about it?

Here's a few for starters...

The Killers are playing NJ / NYC / MA on the 27th-29th

Muse are in MD / VA / PA on the 27th-29th

In between Phoenix and Utah? I think not, especially since she'll just have come from California two days before.

I've got three more bands who have announced tour dates that directly conflict with Coachella. The following bands will not be there:
Bloc Party
Art Brut
The Pipettes

And let's once and for all kill The Police. Plus, let's say any band that is playing at Bonnaroo would've already been announced for Coachella if they were playing, so that eliminates:

Wilco
Flaming Lips
White Stripes
The Hold Steady
Franz Ferdinand
Spoon
Tortoise
Feist
Aesop Rock
Annuals
The National
Dr. Dog
Wolfmother
Tool
Ween

Now we've actually got a very small list of bands who could possibly be added.

Whats wrong with Muse touring with MCR? I dont know if you know but bands do get bored playing to the same crowd over and over. Why not play to a fresh new crowd that normally wouldnt listen to them. I didnt like it when my favorite band Killswitch Engage toured with MCR, The Used and Senses Fail on the Taste of Chaos back in 05or when they toured on the Warped Tour last summer but theyre in control of their music careers. I still went to go see them though. Bands are in control of their careers, not the fans.

most of the time, when this happens and it's not a festival or some special gig, it's got to do with the bands being on the same label..

...

it's got its pros and cons..

for starters, if both bands are great and you like both genres it's awesome cause you get to see two bands you never thought you'd see together and it can be a good experience.. but, if only one of these bands rocks, all you got left is to pout, close your eyes tight and hope it's over soon.. plus, you have to put up with the other band's fans.. the upside would be that the band you like plays before the other band and then like hypervera said, you got no problem in the parking lot, and you get to leave happy ;)

Ok those are valid points
But it could also be that the band wants to expand their fan base which is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Oh and Feist is not playing this year she just announced her tour and she will be in NY during Coachella.
