^ I dont think that the Headliners are gonna be the best this year. I mean GV might drop the ball this year. I dont know why but i just feel it. I really hope that Melvins play though. I would be able to lie down and die after that.

I have been moving around for like a year now and havent been able to secure any sort of job for like more than 2 months. Concerts were on the back burner. The last concert I went to was GWAR, but I got in for free so... n/p there

Oh. When I saw the melvins it was for free too. I have a friend who is dating a security guy for a few of the local venues. She gets on a lot of show guest lists with a +1 and takes me.

Fuck. This is terrible news. I've been saving money just to get a ticket for this year. And now, you're gonna tell me, that this fuckstick has an eerie premonition of bad headliners? Well that's just great. GAH! I guess I'll just buy a flat screen or something instead.

God Bless you, DeadSkin, with your clairvoyance and your five worst bands ever lumped into a signature at one time. Bless you and your future shitty posts.

;) just doin what i can....

I am just saying, like when i look back on last year. It kinda seemed thrown together, right? Like Jack Johnson headlining? WTF?

malcolmjamalawesome
11-23-2008, 07:55 PM
How profound.

DeadSkin
11-23-2008, 07:58 PM
I just think that their has been a decline in Coachella headliners... i dunno. Everyone wants Bowie and Radiohead but its kinda like the earthquake thing if you really want it to happen it never will.

I wonder if ticket prices will be down or go up this year?

malcolmjamalawesome
11-23-2008, 08:01 PM
It IS kinda like the earthquake thing if you really want it to happen it never will.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

DeadSkin
11-23-2008, 08:06 PM
What the fuck is wrong with you cock boy, how can i put this simpler for you.

COACHELLA WILL NOT BE AS GOOD THIS YEAR AS OTHER YEARS

imo

I mean only David Bowie could top Prince from last year right? Who else would top that?

malcolmjamalawesome
11-23-2008, 08:10 PM
Well, right, in the full spectrum of music the only act that anyone could want to see more than Prince would be David Bowie. Even, I assume, if said hypothetical person didn't even really care for David Bowie.

DeadSkin
11-23-2008, 08:11 PM
Who would be your headliners for this year...

malcolmjamalawesome
11-23-2008, 08:13 PM
Clearly, Prince, followed by David Bowie, followed by TWO David Bowies.

DeadSkin

Clearly, Prince, followed by David Bowie, followed by TWO David Bowies.

well that goes without saying... but i mean it, my opinion is shit so lets hear your opinion

If you are afraid of something (ie earthquakes) than if you sit around all day and think of them, they will never happen.

Its just like how for the past however many years this board has been praying for David Bowie or The Smiths to play coachella and it seems like the more we want it the less it will happen.

Hmmmm, It seems to me that with so many worries over receding world economy and Americans not having as much disposable income, there is more pressure than ever to put together a lineup that people would be willing to travel for. Coachella has always viewed itself as a world class festival. They're going to have to pull some big acts to keep people coming from Australia and the UK.

Coachella is going to have the great depth and diversity of acts it's always had but like I've been saying for months, they're probably going to shift back to contemporary rock headliners to get the 60k crowds again.

Zeppelin? People would come from far and wide for that.. it wont happen though as long as Allison Krauss <-s/p is out there stealing Robert Plant

Word on the UK streets is that the Smiths are warming to the idea of a reunion, and you know Tollett is going to make a run at them with a shit ton of money. As for Bowie, I have no fucking clue... but it'd be nice, very nice.

The first stateside first Zeppelin show in however long would be HUGE. Just look at how crazy people went for that one-off show in London a few months ago. Put an act like that in a setting like Coachella and all I have to say is; buy your tickets early!

malcolmjamalawesome

Phish wants to reunite too but I think they will only at Bonnaroo

2008 would have been the year, unfortunately. They headlined too many other festivals this year and Coachella doesn't book sloppy seconds for headliners.

I don't even have to tell them, they'll share regardless. This year right before BB King, my friends and I sat and chilled. I pack a bowl and pass it around, including to the two guys (strangers) sitting behind us, in return they whip out a sheet of acid and rip of a huge piece for each of us. Free of charge. Thats Bonnaroo.

REM rocked at Langerado BTW
