Rage, have you seen them live yet?

No, I unfortunately have not. I was considering seeing them earlier this year... but they cancelled their North American tour. Have you been lucky enough to see them?

i was lucky enough to have cider, sunshine, and balkan beat box this past june at Worthy Farm. didn't know much about them at the time. it was more of a "lets go check out the jazz world stage for a few hours" type deal. needless to say, it was one of the highlights of the week.

That is awesome. They would be perfect for Coachella.

Huh. Thats odd. Especially considering they cancelled their Langerado set due to not being allowed into the country.

Sounds like someone took a lot of mind altering substances at Langerado. Fun :)

It sucked for the hour or so I spent searching for my tent.

*heavy sigh* I'm really gunna miss Big Cypress. Moving the fest to Miami was the worst possible thing they can do

Why? Is the new venue no good?

Langerado this year was Bonnaroo in South Florida. Right in the middle of the Everglades on Native American land. Security was there for your safety, I guess but they didnt mess with you in the least bit. Drugs flowed like wine and there was no noise curfew, meaning epic late-night sets guaranteeing a non-stop party. It rained in the beginning but the weather was gorgeous (we didnt fry in the sun!), something that is rare here.

This new place is smack on the middle of downtown Miami, amidst all the nasty crackhead bums and tons of traffic. There is a strict 12am noise curfew and needless to say no camping. Its the same place where they have ULTRA, its good for that. It's perfect for a 2-day rave actually. But it just won't be the same fest, where the hell am I supposed to buy my drugs now? Supply my own? Thats no fucking fun. Acid doesnt just fall in our laps here. Late-night sets will be spread across Miami Beach in different venues. So for a more expensive ticket, I'm getting less than I did this year. Much less! Theyre obviously trying to turn this into a Lolla or ACL but the big difference is that Miami sucks massive elephant testes.

I see, major suckage indeed. I wonder if Miami lured the promoters to the city for the economic bump.

Apparently, the single-day ticket holders had to wait in their car for hours just to go in. The article announcing the venue movie stated that they wanted to sell more single-day passes. Who the fuck cares? I splurged for the whole weekend and I'm the one getting punished. I also have a feeling that Big Cypress wasnt too keen on having us back either...
