A reunited Oingo Boingo or the Danny Elfman Orchestra?

Oingo Boingo would be be cool but the thought of Danny playing his soundtrack music with an orchestra at sunset on Friday would be mind blowing.

Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Chrstmas, PeeWee Herman's Big Adventure, Batman, the list goes on.

Just an idea

I like this idea, but it probably won't happen.

Isn't he going deaf? Poor guy. I would welcome this with open arms. I never got to see them live as I was not a fan when they were still playing out. :(

I think I would rather have John Williams.

I always wondered why he never did any of those orchestra shows at the Hollywood Bowl like John Williams. Would the hearing loss be an issue in that kind of setting.

He suffered, along with the other members, some amount of permanent hearing damage. He also said something along the lines of being in oingo boingo "7 years too long".

This is a reunion I'm sure a lot of people would love. The problem is it just seems unlikely. Top tier unlikely...

Why would it be unlikely? I dont know the oingo boingo story. Do they not get along?

Not that they don't get along per say. Its just that Elfman fears for his hearing for the most part.

aww, he can wear plugs or something. If thats the worst problem then we can easily find a solution

You know there's probably more to it then that. They have to be one of the more sought after bands in the wake of this nostalgic youth.

Oingo Boingo should definitely have a reunion tour! I think that they should include their original bassist, Kerry Hatch. That would be one amazing tour.

I saw that version of the band several times and they were absolutely incredible.

I had chills running down my spine the first time i saw them play Grey Matter

i just woke from a dream i thought was real. i dreamt i read a post here that said Oingo Boingo confirmed for Coachella; and they were going into the studio to record a new single. The question of Halloween shows was in discussion. i woke up happy. Was it a prophetic dream, Paul? Was it?

I just wish I paid more attention to them in the early 90's when they still toured. Them and the Pixies (at least I saw the Pixies open for U2 in 1992 though).
