These guys totally fit the Coachella vibe, and would be an awesome subheadliner. Anyone who's seen them before, please weigh in. I love this band and think they're far overdue to play the Polo Fields.

Any other TFF takers?

i was thinking about this a couple of days ago. i was walking somewhere and "Laid So Low" was being played. It sounded so good the imagination was running wild what a main stage Tears For Fears show would be like. "Shout" would be HUGE. Definite "Yes!"

I've been listening to them a bit lately and to see them on field would be totally deserving for all.

I saw them a few yrs back in gg park morrissey was suposed to headline but pulled a.no show so tff ended up headlining great show!!! Especially when you stop n realize you haven't heard those songs in years!!!

I saw TFF a few years ago and they were really good. I remember they did an acoustic version of Mad World and I teared up a little. I also got to hear Pale Shelter - one of my favorites of all time.

if she wants you to
now ask yourself can you even deliver?

This fit's the other night...

High time, we made a stand and shook up the views of the common man
And the lovetrain rides from coast to coast
D.j.s the man we love the most
Could you be, could you be squeaky clean
And smash any hope of democrasy ?
As the headline says youre free to choose
Theres egg on your face and mud on your shoes
One of these days theyre gonna call it the blues

agreed! and they need to bring the fucking Fairlight "synthesizer" this time cos' the few times I've seen em' they were too acoustic sounding on their old stuff.

I saw tears for fears 4 or 5 years ago and they were great but they leaned on the new album and shyed away from the hits...mistake imo. They would be a great addition...I thought I heard they were asked some time ago to do coachella but it didnt work out at the time. TFF and OMD please! and of course Talking Heads...I'd take talking heads over Bowie any day, that doesnt mean I dont love bowie I'm just sayin'. Saw david byrne at the greek, it was a great show. he played 4 or 5 T.H. songs, I'd love him to be at coachella.

Would they be second or third line?

I think they'd be second line...

TFF into talking heads on the main stage!

That would be almost too incomprehensibly awesome, pilgrim!

I'm encouraged by the support thus far for TFF, I thought I'd be the only one. (Well, Salah too.) I hope GV books them, I think they're actually semi-likely, but maybe that's just wishful thinking...

Yes, yes, yes. And into TH, yes. And I rarely post on this thing. But this got me real excited.

And Woman in Chains at sunset.

Wouldn't it be amazing? Also, Jesus, I didn't realize how plausible this would be.

["We're putting together a live Tears for Fears album right now," he said of Tears for Fears, adding that the band (yes, they are still together, even if the group’s other founding member, Roland Orzabal, spends more of his time in England than Los Angeles) will be touring the West Coast this summer for a string of dates.]

Seriously? And Curt Smith is already in LA? Let's get it together, Paul T!

There are two lead singers, Monklish. Curt Smith plays bass and sang most of the early singles. Roland Orzabal wrote amost everything and sang lead on Shout, Sowing The Seeds and others.
But at least you've pulled your nose out of Roger Waters' ass long enough to notice.
