Michael in 2009 is one thing....but really? the rest of those washed up guys who haven't done a thing interesting in decades would be better?
I agree though, Sly, definitely better

I'd take the Jackson 5 any day over something like Jack Johnson or the cast of High School Musical... it's all relative.

well when you put it like that....
I was simply questioning the statement that the Jackson 5 would be better than MJ alone....at this point in time

iunno, i just don't care for solo Michael after Say Say Say. a family reunion, on the other hand, seems interesting to me.
and yeah, Sly would be awesome. he joined the family during a show at HOB. i woulda gone to that, but it was during coachella weekend.

I heard they were going to reunite a year ago, and it never happened. Just like the Kinks.

The Kinks are too old to reunite.

They will have to make this an 18+ event if the Jacksons are gonna be there...
and if they do, they wont show.

I saw the Jacksons about 25 years ago. No need to see them again.

It is absolutely imperative that I see Sly and the Family Stone sometime in the near future. It sucks that their tour was only four U.S. dates

MJ doesn't sound like a kid anymore, what's the point?
Sounds like someone needs someone(s) need to pay the bills.

jackson 5 owned but lets face it they are not the same without young michael. It would pretty much just suck

Jackson 5 Not Reuniting, Says Michael Jackson
Seems like he would know as well as anybody
Jackson 5 Not Reuniting, Says Michael Jackson
Might Jermaine-- and not, you know, Tito-- actually be the craziest Jackson? All signs point to maybe. Despite Jermaine's recent claims to the Australian Associated Press that the long-dormant Jackson 5 were "in the studio" in advance of what would be a monumental reunion tour in 2009, baby bro Michael says it's not so.
Billboard.com reports that Michael issued a statement from the studio (where he's developing "new and exciting projects" without the help of his famous siblings) that threw a pretty big wrench in Jermaine's plan. "My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we've certainly shared many great experiences, but at this time I have no plans to record or tour with them," he said. Guess that settles that.
