Went through a phase of wishing I was Darcy Wretzky, but let's face it, I probably have the better deal right now.

It was the blue hair that did it. She had awesome blue hair for a while.

Well, should you ever find yourself to be Damien Rice after all, remember to stay friends with Lisa Hannigan.

oh dude. when I was (ten? eleven?) I bough smash, and then ixnay, and americana, and the first band I ever started at like thirteen played an offspring cover as the first thing we ever tried.

I got to see them live like four years ago, and honestly, they're one of the slickest, most entertaining live bands out there today. if you haven't seen them since they acquired atom willard on drums, you do not know what you're missing. and you know what? dexter holland sounds five times better now than he even did on an album. I'd never claim that they're relevant today, or that their music was revolutionary, but I'd be a liar if I didn't say that the offspring helped introduce me to guitar driven music outside of the hardcore punk and reggae I heard on the street as a young child, and the classical and jazz my parents listened to

Toni Halliday from Curve. She's just too cool and amazingly beautiful.

Beth Gibbons (Portishead)
Harriet Wheeler (The Sundays)
Liz Fraser (Cocteau Twins)
Nina Persson (The Cardigans)

Those are my favorite female vocalists and I would LOVE to have their voices if it were ever possible.

edit: I forgot Bjork!
