It's the same quality as youtube as far as I can tell. They just use decent masters as opposed to half of the vhs and low res captures people stick up on youtube.

So it's called Music Television Music? Isn't that superfluously redundant?

Oh yeah!!! They have the video for "Atmosphere" by Joy Division and "Do It Clean (live)" by Echo & The Bunnymen, but no XTC videos.
This is going to be a lot of fun. I think the video quality is good, personally.

I was totally hoping this thread was about MTV shutting their doors forever, but if it's not that, this is a completely worthy alternative

I wonder if they'll show the uncensored "Windowlicker" video on there (and if they'll get fined another $500Gs for doing so).

What are you talking about? The FCC has no authority to fine cable channels.
And no, they have the short version. I can't stand the long version anyway. It's WAY too far to go for a joke, no matter how funny the punchline is.

Apparently Dave Kendell absconded with most of their collection from the late 80's - early 90. I looked up a pretty long list of staples from "120 Minutes" and found hardly anything. (They do have a ton of Sisters Of Mercy videos, though.)
