They're there every year at Coachella, and usually forgotten about a month later -- But who do you think will turn up this year? So far, I am thinking:

White Lies
Glasvegas

I actually just saw White Lies at a small club in Boston where only 30 people showed up. Yet, I was impressed and think they'll actually have a decent future. I believe Alan Moulder, who helped out with some of My Bloody Valentine's albums, produced their debut. Consider these expectations set.

Well, there's Foals, Friendly Fires, Glasvegas, The Enemy, and The Wombats, although I really don't care too much for any of those except for Foals.

NME hypes every single band in existence because they know one out of a thousand will eventually become huge, and then NME can say "we were there first...listen to us!"

i saw the enemy a few months ago at the troubadour and thought they were pretty good, its weird cause their album came out over a year ago in the UK but has only been out for a few months in the states. The friendly fires cd isnt that great but they put on an awesome performance opening for the virgins (who are terrible) at spaceland again a few months ago, plus they are opening for lykke li on her tour. did not enjoy the wombats when i saw them at spaceland. i do dig the glasvegas album and hope for them to be at coachella. also could see noah and the whale doing coachella as well, they were at the monday residency at spaceland and there were a ton of people there for them as the first band they even came back out and played an extra song after the set, then everyone left heh.

I haven't heard Glasvegas' entire album yet, but with their Spector-meets-Jesus-and-Mary-Chain sound, does anyone else think they are basically The Raveonettes except with a male lead singer who has a Scottish accent?

Yep, from what I've heard that sounds about right.

Haha I'm not sure if they're over but at least they'll be gone for a while, since Arctic Monkeys are back in the studio.
