I'll keep my fingers crossed for "not going" but if they end up going I'll just not watch them. Definitely not headlining material either way.

probably playing a radio station christmas fest whose lineup hasn't been announced yet. No need to worry....too much.

But "Human" has the best lyric's ever. How about Coldplay and Killers, then we can vote for which band is trying the hardest to be original and trendy at the same time.

I would take Killers if it were a Killers vs. Coldplay deathmatch...only then though

This won't happen. After the failure of a headline that Jack Johnson was, Paul Tollet would never grab The Killers as headliners. If he could grab them for a good price as subheadliners, I wouldn't doubt them being there. But NEVER as headliners.

I would bet that christmas fest is on 12/13, the day after the SF show, and that the killers will be there.

The fact that The Killers are playing smaller venues on this tour means they will not be headlining at all (if they are even at Coachella)

The Killers on CD are not that bad, but I agree, their live show sucks donkey cock. Brandon Flowers (worst name in rock n roll) has no stage presence or charisma. He always looks like a dear in the headlights and tries way to hard to act like a frontman.

you might be on to something, I see more of an interpretive dance off, but to cheezy epic trance remixes of thier songs...
tiesto maybe?

The Killers probably will go to Coachella if they're not going to play L.A., but no way are they going to headline. Not even Friday.

And U2 would make an awesome Coachella, frozen pilgrim, if they played the correct things.

MissingPerson
10-28-2008, 03:17 PM
Yeah, but what would make them suck is that they wouldn't, Alchemy. They don't know what's good any more.

Yeah, but what would make them suck is that they wouldn't, Alchemy. They don't know what's good any more.

True. Which is why somebody needs to threaten a country on the periphery with additional famine and poverty for a Joshua Tree performance at Coachella.

Also, threatening Bono that small children will be attacked every time he's seen wearing sunglasses if he doesn't play at Coachella.

I don't think so. but that's because I think u2 is one of those bands that can't go backwards. bono's new superhuman ego and douchebaggery and the crappiness of their last offerings eclipses the potential for them playing to be good. so I guess you're right. it'd be ok if they played the right things, but there's no way they would. and bono would create such a big cloud of smug that it'd block out the sun.

Don't forget Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold

No, Ardentbiscuit, it's best not to. Remember always, when you look into the abyss, the abyss looks right back.

Also:

"I think you can always do better, says Flowers. An awakening for me was Arcade Fires Neon Bible record. The lyrics just blew my mind. It felt so in line with what was happening right now. But it was good because it lit a fire under me and made me want to be a better writer.

And now that the lyrics are finished, Im really proud of the lyrics on this album.

Are we human?
Or are we denser?

?

Is he hearing different lyrics to the rest of us, or what?

If it is, it's even worse. I dunno, I was just going by what my ears.

Thinking about it, I've heard that song twice today, and I cannot for the life of me remember the tune. Damn, Killers, I really didn't want you to be another one-good-album band.

I'd say in those couple of posts, we've already given that lyric more thought than it deserves.

A Blowchella poster consisting of nothing but disappointing or just plain bad acts from top to bottom would be awesome. But FEASIBLE acts, so yes to the Killers, and no to Creed.

dude, awesome. we have create a festival contests with strict rules, how about we have a contest to see who can make the worst coachella ever?
(as long as I get mention for coining the phrase "blowchella")

Agreed.

I saw them live last year. Cheesy stage prop lights, Brandon has horrible weak voice (most of the time out of tune) etc ... And oh, I don't like Hot Fuss anymore.

I still love Hot Fuss, that album is really good and a lot of fun. And I don't hate Sam's Town. I have my doubts about the new album. (For the record, every time I hear the song I think he's saying "dancer.") But my interest in seeing them live has waned considerably. Definitely not at Coachella, I hope. They'd be a good fit again for Lolla.

he's def saying denser. one thing about the killers that you can always count on are terrible music videos. As much as i try to hate this band though I always find their songs growing on me except for hot fuss.
