I was more or less rattling off the female artists I have listened to over the years. I would argue almost all of them are angsty to a degree.

I liked Sarah's Fumbling Towards Ecstasy.
I have a soft spot for Sarah Mac. Her last album kinda sucked, but I liked parts of all previous albums and some of the collaborations she's done. She is really amazing live. I went to 2 or 3 Lilith Fairs back in the day, and I even interviewed Sarah during her Fumbling Towards Ecstasy tour. She was really nice if a bit emotional and tired from the tour.

I just finished Season 4, Mark, but started losing interest before starting this season. *shrug*

forza, I've not purchased dinner there before, but I'm told the food is good (not great, but perhaps better than you'd expect for a venue). The main appeal is that it buys you seats for the night at a table on the mezzanine. Would be nice for a show where you didn't want to stand or get close to the stage, and if you were going with several friends (ie, enough to have a table to yourself - I think it's 5 or 6 seats). The rest of the venue is GA.

Late night set from a living descendant of Fela Kuti is just too hard to pass up. Especially when it looks like so much damned fun:



I am definitely going to be trying to get a spot up close for Byrne, as I stated earlier. I will probably be watching all of Al Green, and then quickly run to see whatever's left of TVOTR... and then I will squeeeeeeze my way up as close as I can. So I will be really happy if I have some friends to do it with!

Also, I am definitely going to see Femi Kuti, I decided. I really don't need all 3 hours of Phish that night, phuck that, I really need to catch Femi. I will probably be watching all of his set. Cause yeah... I need my world music fix. And the late night in the small tent will be perfect.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are one of my favorite live bands ever, and I'm pretty sure Grizzly Bear will be way on the boring side in concert, but I've never seen the latter so the choice there was obvious for me... I just want to diversify my concert portfolio, if you will.

Have you seen him before?

He's soo funny and charismatic. He has a terrifically tight backing band as well as back up dancers. Not only does he have back up dancers but he participates in the choreography too.

And I know I posted this before but when I saw him, near the end everyone left the stage and when they returned everyone was wearing a tutuu. Including Byrne! What happened next? They broke into "Burning Down The House". What a party that song is. I seriously cannot even imagine how awesome it would be at Bonnaroo

Salah. Byrne is the rarer act. Beasties are playing Lolla, which you are going to. There will probably be more of us to party with at Byrne. It's definitely the worst conflict of the weekend, but Byrne is definitely the better choice.

It's fucking horrid. Seriously he is using the Rain Man voice on ever song so far. It distracts from the rhymes and gets annoying very fast. I mean it was cool and interesting for a song or two but all three songs he has released so far uses those same filters to take out all the bass in his and Dre's voice(In "Old Times Sake"). 3am is much better but he still is using that same Rain Man voice, granted not as much but it is still there. He should have ended it with "When I'm Gone." I am still gonna give the full album a chance but so far I am very dissapointed.

Yea, the history between them is a bit weird. They used to tell people that they had been friends growing up (went to high school together?) but I don't think they did go to school together, and since Vrenna left NIN it seems like Trent makes out like they weren't that close. I definitely didnt do as much as other people (kingsblend) but there was 2ci and two rolls on friday, 3 rolls on saturday and a hit of acid on sunday. But by sunday I was pretty fried/dead. Hopefully sleeping in a bed for a couple more hours at Lolla will really do the trick

I had odd experiences with coke. The come downs would fucking destroy me, the people were always paranoid, we would always wonder how much the guy who picked it up snorted and then when you are out everyone was depressed. I learned this after doing it once or twice but for some reason it didn't stop me from doing it another dozen or so times. Still I get jealous when i hear peolple are doing it, the high is really nice and fun but the bullshit that comes with it isn't worth it.

I honestly don't enjoy it. Most of the times I've done it, it was mostly peer pressure/wanting to join in with people I was trying to impress. Later, trying to stay awake with people who could party a lot more than I could. :) I came to resent it because I'd get stuck at parties that I couldn't get home from (ie, I didn't drive, no $ for cabs, and my ride would not leave) and passing out in people's houses at like 6AM when no one was close to leaving. Sometimes sketchy stuff would happen to me. Nothing but bad memories, heh.

And, I dunno, most stimulants give me a sense of something "wrong" with my body. Not quite paranoia, but just really unsettling feelings that something bad will happen to me. I get super nervous, shake, get really warm. Not at all enjoyable.

Mmmm. I miss good tomatoes. Tomato 'salad' is my most favorite thing to eat. Just tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, basil, oregano, salt (I use marjoram sometimes too) tossed together, you smash the tomatoes just the tiniest bit so the seeds mix with the oil, eat the tomatoes and then sop up all the oil+juice with fresh Italian or French bread. So good.

Definitely space them out. I took two at the same time on Sunday after having took two about an hour and a half apart on Sat. But Sunday was a bit much, first time trying that and lesson learned. Groove Armada was pretty interesting though.

You search by color, imprint, and locale. So if you have a green apple pill that you got in Florida, you would search for green apple pills in the Florida area. They have pictures of the pills and percentages of what they contain(i.e. 1 part MDMA to 3 parts Caffine). I don't even roll yet I know this, I spend to much time with you druggies ;)

Yep, you type in the section of the country you're in, the color of the pill and the logo then it will bring up recent reports/reviews regarding that pill.

You still have to be careful because sometimes the dealers review there own stuff saying how amazing it is.

Fax (and hopefully Chia), I've come up with a drug schedule for us on Friday. Haha. We eat the first pill at 8:00. Second roll is taken at 10:45 or 11:00 (depending on how strong it is and how it's treating you). You're gonna be wired and awake and there will be stuff to do, so if you're still feeling good then the optional 3rd roll will be taken around 1:30 or 1:45.

Just to give you an idea. At Coachella I took my first at 8:00 and my second at like 10:45 or 11:00. I could've easily taken a 3rd, but I just decided to come down and relax a bit. I was so wired that I didn't go to sleep until around 5:30.

I don't think it's best to wait so long - I think you want to not take another once you've hit your peak, say 2 hours after your first. then you're just getting into fried/e-tard territory. The amphetamines will be hitting you and not much more of the e...

I think it's always best to take one, wait an hour, and take another if you want. Unless of course you're familiar with them, which at bonnaroo, you won't be.

Just my 2 cents on not getting e-tarded/fried out. Also much better for the next day and not be totally ate up.

I had odd experiences with coke. The come downs would fucking destroy me, the people were always paranoid, we would always wonder how much the guy who picked it up snorted and then when you are out everyone was depressed. I learned this after doing it once or twice but for some reason it didn't stop me from doing it another dozen or so times. Still I get jealous when i hear peolple are doing it, the high is really nice and fun but the bullshit that comes with it isn't worth it.

and with the whole pillreports thing, if you really wanted to know what is in what you buy, you could purchase a tester kit and you can see basically all what makes up your stuff. they are useful esp. somewhere like roo where it's a crapshoot and people are probably often selling their shitty rolls and keeping their good ones.

i dunno it really depends, but anywhere from 1 hour to 2.5. i think it's different from person to person based on your metabolism and also just different based on the pill. i've been hit in 30 minutes and i've had wierd ones that took 2.5 to feel anything all. also probably depends how full your stomach is.

To peak....I would guess more than an hour. My guide at Coachella was Ally. She's someone who I really really trust. About 2.5 hours after I took the first one, she asked me how I was feeling. I said I could use another one and she gave me the proverbial green light to do so.

Maybe I don't know shit, but I'm just basing it on what I actually did at the instruction of someone I trust. Again, it certainly didn't feel like I did it wrong. And I don't think Ally would've let me astray.

See I hear your point about waiting too long for a second roll and interrupting what you've getting from it, but for a first time I would be a little wary of taking another pill until I've peaked from the first one. In general I have a threshold for being "too fucked up" (no matter what the cause) where I shift from having a great fucking time to being uncomfortably messed up.

My first one took about 75 minutes to kick in (rough estimate), but I never peaked until I took the 2nd one and had 2 pills working in my system. I was just following Ally's instructions and the night was perfect.

ha im the same way. there's a meter inside of me that never lets me do too much or go overboard. it's actually like that with everything now, even drinking. i dont think i'll ever lose it or get puking wasted drunk again, my brain won't let me!
