Fuck Subway, Quizno's is so much better. There is practically no meat at all on Subways, not even five bucks worth. Although I must say the Quizno's I've had in CA doesn't even compare to the Quizno's I've had in OH, which is odd considering it's a nationwide chain so you would think it would all be standard. Maybe it's just coincidence, I don't know.

I can't really complain about less meat and more vegetables for $5. If they made the area directly in front of the glass plate a treadmill, I'd be all set.

Instead the area behind the glass is a festering pit of unhygienic fingers.

Oh yeah. On Lincoln right? Only ate there once but that place is good. I also like the Apple Pan on Pico, really good Tuna Melts.

Will try to stop by Apple Pan. You should hit up Bay Cities again. Be warned, it is super busy (especially around lunch). It is one of those situations though where people just wait patiently because they know what they're getting is goooood.

Yeah Tito's Tacos (on washington near culver) is the same way. I've never had the time to get anything from there, but everytime I drive by there's a HUGE line. I'm fine with Campos but when I get the time someday, Tito's looks like a winner.

mmmmmm, again.

Oh when and if you do hit up Bay Cities, get a loaf of bread. Most times it is so fresh, your hand burns a little picking it up. The bread is so good and that's one of the main reasons the sandwiches rule.

Speaking of delicious bread. For good, fast Indian food Hurry Curry on Venice is great. They have some of the best garlic bread I've ever had.

The best part of it is that every other sub place now sells $5 foot longs in order to compete. Options!

World record sandwich? Iranians eat evidence

TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran failed Friday to register what it said would be the world's largest sandwich in the Guinness book of World Records after people rushed forward and began eating it -- before it was measured.

Event organizers had planned to stuff the 1,500-meter-long sandwich with 700 kg of ostrich meat and 700 kg of chicken, and display it in a park in the capital Tehran.

But as the sandwich was being measured, chaos ensued. The giant snack was gone in minutes, a Reuters witness said, leaving the three Guinness representatives present with a dilemma.

One of the event's organizers said video footage of the sandwich would be sent to Guinness officials.

"We still think the sandwich will be recorded in the Guinness book because of all the evidence and footage that we will send them," Parvin Shariati said.

I keep waiting to hear some sort of fallout about this. Flashing thru TV stations I watched The Biggest Loser one night and Subway is a big advertiser of theirs. On the show, they all went into a subway and asked, because of the calories etc, could they scoop out most of the bread and fill it with the meat and veggies. The deli guy said "Of course, we are here to please our customers” I bet if you asked your Subway guy/gal to do this, they might say no. I used to own a deli once but I told that story.
