View Full Version : My Own Personal Thread X****

So I am at work, bored as usual, and its Friday. This is just a general thread like the random thread but I wanted my own for a couple of days :). I won’t be on the board next week because I have surgery on Tuesday. It is a relatively simple operation but I will be put under, and they say that is always a situation that could become dangerous. They also told me that I could bleed to death because it is close to my brain, I might wake up paralyzed or things might just go normal which is what I suspect. I ramble on to people when I go on vacation too because you never know when the last thing you say to someone, might really be the last thing you say to them. So I love ya all. I will just put random thoughts the next couple of days so there is no theme to this thread.

My birthday is Tuesday which is the day I get the knife. A couple of people (rage, mike) might say HB so I wanted to let them know I was not avoiding them or trying to be cool by not saying anything.

I am going to vote on Monday. Here is an off the wall question: if someone would to early vote, and then die, would their vote count or would it go into an Acorn like list that said something like “see this guy is dead and he voted”. Life is complicated sometimes eh …. X****

Good luck, Ron. I'll keep you in my prayers.

And I usually cry when I come off anesthesia. Weird.

Good luck, Ron. I hope the operation goes well.

Also, remind us about that Ricola contest again? I vaguely remember you saying something about that a while ago.

the The Ricola Mystery Cougher Is Back game is where a cougher is somewhere in your city .... you go there and ask each person that happens to cough, if they are the mistery person ... if they are, you win at least 1k with a shot at one million .... so we go down to city park, dressed to be special heheh, and the whole frigging place seemed to have a cold and was coughing .. we never did see anyone win though ..

why is it that if oil has dropped by 1/2 from when gas was 4.00 , why has gas only dropped about 25 percent .... grrrrrr .x****

amyzzz
10-17-2008, 10:27 AM
So you're going around asking sick people "Are you the mystery person?"

because oil companies are evil, Ron. Everyone knows that. AND I can almost guarantee that gas prices will start to climb 11/5/08.

The thing is, gas prices tend to go down in the winter anyway (different gas mix), but they SHOULD be falling a lot faster than they are with oil stocks down AND the winter coming, the thieving bastards.

I didn't know winter made things cheaper. I don't see a whole lot of fluctuation between Summer and Winter (maybe 30 cents). Of course the last year saw a huge climb in prices throughout. We're California & we refine our own oil which would make one think that gas prices would be cheaper, but it's not. I've quit trying to apply logic to oil prices other than the devious nonsense around elections.

Maybe it's just an AZ thing. They mix more ethanol in the gas in the winter, and the prices go down. Prices come back up after March when they don't mix that in it anymore.

edit: heck, I'm not exactly sure when they start doing this, if it's mid-October or mid-November.

Wait, you guys get put under often??

I've never been under anesthesia, and frankly it frightens me a bit

The first (and only time) I got NO2'd at the dentist, the last thing I remember saying is "maaaan this feels like i just took several large bong hits''

The first time I was put under I got so sick coming out. I was 17. I haven't had any problems since, but there's only been 2 other times.

I've awakened from anesthesia with a really sore throat before, but that was because they put a breathing tube down my throat because they were working on my nose.

And the Stadol they gave me during childbirth made me hallucinate. :)

when i came out of anesthesia i was fucked up!

on the way home i told my mom i wasnt a virgin anymore and smoked pot...i was 18...

Then i came to a couple minutes later, realized what i did, and just looked at her very perplexed...she just shook her head.

truth serum.

yeah, that can be the worst part. the best anesthesia experience i had was at an outpatient surgery center and not a hospital. i thought that was odd.

and do take advantage of the rest, ron. best of luck and happy birthday :)

that statement in itself shows how screwed things are ... the media here says gas goes up in the winter because they HAVE TO add ethanol to the mix ... it takes more work to mix it, and it off sets the sort of cheaper cost of ethanol ... me thinks we will never know the truth ... asses ...

on going under ... i am talking major script to do that not NO2 .... that stuff rocks ... when i go to the dentist, it costs 75 bucks more for them to do that, but its worth it :). x****

i too was a smoker of cigarettes. Can't figure how many years it has been since i quit, but the last time i tried to smoke an emergency clove in 2001 i got very ill. i do not object to other forms of smoking. Good luck on the re-quitting. i don't know if the urge ever goes away. If i'm watching a movie with smoking, my fingers still want to hold a cigarette.

yea mike people that have never smoked cigs have no idea ...

ok guess i will lose a little cred here (if i have any) why in the world do most people on this board think Linkin Park sucks? i decided to put on a cd i havent listened to in a while, and it is pretty good .... i can understand not liking an entire genre, but if you like basic r and r, LP is just that .... x****

Well my best friend and roommate's birthday is today, so on Saturday we're having a party with our friends to celebrate both. That's about it really, apart from the usual family get together. What about you Ron? Doing anything special after or before the surgery?
