View Full Version : Harder Bands For Coachella!

Coachella need some harder bands this year and needs to stop attracting the trendiest of hipster fucks. All of you who want coldplay, fuck you, coldplay = overrated. Radiohead is good but like whats been said, they do not need to play Coachella and headline every damn festival. Bands like Motorhead (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=171333309), Dead Kennedys (http://www.myspace.com/deadkennedys), Bad Brains (http://www.myspace.com/badbrains), Brian Jonestown Massacre (http://www.myspace.com/brianjonestownmassacre), KRS-ONE (http://www.myspace.com/templeofhiphop), Lamont (http://www.myspace.com/lamont), Lightening Bolt (http://www.myspace.com/laserbeast), etc, should play. Not too hard just people need to grow some balls.

Bad Brains would be awesome, Dead Kennedys would probably never happen. BJM is awesome. It would be cool to have KRS-One or some one else representive of O.G. hip hop or maybe Ice T or Body Count. I always thought it would be cool to have Slayer i know its a bit too hard but they put on such a good show and give such an adrenaline rush. They need to have Dinosaur Jr play cause they in their heyday were loud as fuck. White Noise and Noise pop bands in the vein of Jesus and Mary Chain and Sonic Youth are always welcome

Slayer would be outta control. It is a bit too hard yeah but I'd still be down for sure. And yeah, KRS-One or just some OG hip hop.

JaredSherbert
10-13-2008, 07:48 PM
haha yes I realize this, I was joking about chaos...but I mean i would love to go to a festival on it's dying day of chaos

also, festivals die...and new festivals come. Woodstock wen't out right, they had pretty much headliner fest with Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers,Alanis Morissette, DMX ,Ice Cube, Korn,Live, Sugar Ray, The Offspring, Foo Fighters, Limp Bizkit ,The Chemical Brothers, Fat Boy Slim, and so many more. All worthy of headlining a festival. It was such a good line up people couldn't take it and all hell broke loose.

Meh. Woodstock was pretty whack IMO. Sure, for the top 40 radio crowd that lineup was massive, but after many people lost their shit, others took it as an excuse to hurt their fellow man, steal, and in far too many cases, rape. Not cool. I like certain harder bands very much but unfortunately they attract total douche bags.

dude, don't be such a hipster and rag on their newer stuff. some of the songs off of empire and new maps of hell are up there with their absolute best. Mastodon is releasing an album in the spring. I wouldn't be surprised to see them play Coachella.

I used to be into harder music, but not so much anymore. Relatively hard music that I'd really be down for at Coachella: Tool or NIN (didn't know about Coachella yet when each previously played), or a SOAD or White Zombie reunion.

The opening to that movie in general was amazing. I never heard of mastodon before that, but I went out and got their cd like 3 days later.

That's a good call. I'm pretty partial to Sleeping Giant.
