I hope this is a joke. The Keenan Thompson part.

I agree most of this new SNL stuff is NOT funny. However Keenan Thompson is one of the worst. Along with Horatio Sans, he laughs at every skit he's in, something that really started with Jimmy Fallon and Adam (I'm really not funny) Sandler. And for some odd reason, it's turned into a SNL comedy style? It sucks.

When people like Akroyd and Murphy did it, it was genuine, and very funny, because they rarely cracked up. When these new cast memebers do it every week - it's because they fail to get laughs and try to break the silence. Keenan is one of the worst examples. Not to mention... his most famous go to sketch is Deep House Dish. Someone tell me how in the hell is a House music sketch still running (multiple times) in 2008? That's like running a skit on Y2K, each week. WTF? Also, while we are on the new cast, Andy Sandberg is a Lorne Michael pet project who people think are funny, but is not. True, he hit some comedy gold with some offbeat videos a few years ago, but then again he was competing with absolute shit week in week out - when it comes down to it he's just not very funny either.

One only needs to go netflick or rent the second or third SNL season on DVD - now that was funny. 90% of this new stuff is not.

Seriously - the difference between these and the new stuff is night and day, a difference that goes beyond pure nostalgia. When you watch someone like Murphy do his thing back then - the talent was beyond belief. He hit it out of the park 9 times out of 10. When someone like Andy Sandberg does it it more like 1 out of 10.
