I think its time Erykah Badu did an appearance at Coachella. Preferably Friday at Sunset, that might be a sweet ride.
Hopefully i can get some backers on this one.

Wrong thread, but I would totally support this. Subheadline the Outdoor stage.

Btw beavington, "bin-too-rra"? Would I be wrong to guess you're Filipino?

EDIT: Wrong "folder"

She was great at ACL. I'd see her again.

(Anyone else see her back in the 90s at Lilith Fair? Anyone? Am I old?)

I saw here at Lilith Fair in 99 i think. She was Amazing. I also live in Dallas where she pops up frequently. She even helped out My Morning Jacket who cover her song "Tyrone" a couple of months back amazing to see her show up and help out. She would be a welcome addition to Coachella.

For it, but she's out of her goddamn mind, sources say.

I'd LOVE Ms Hill, but she needs to get her shit together and get a makeover.
I didn't even know that (recently) she had been touring. But I think despite a live band and re-workings of songs, it was somewhat shiteous.

She's like Britney Spears but with talent (in the sense that you want her to make a big comeback and all that) ;)

I love Badu a bunch, but she's newly impregnated so don't count on it.

You know who else would be good for Coach?

MAXWELL

He's flippin' amazing live! Another great neo-soul r&b artist.
He's got a new album coming soon too.
Not that I expect him there, but he'd be great there.

she dont care, she tours while pregnant.

If Sharon Jones can play Coachella, there's no reason Erykah Badu can't. (Except for maybe the pregnancy thing.)

Yes, but in that particular concert she was about three hours late (read the liner notes for "Live") and stood still the whole time in an air-conditioned theater.

Again, I love Badu and she's a great performer but it ain't happening. Color me pleasantly surprised if it does.

While we're on the topic, here are some R&B acts Coachella should consider:

-Maxwell
-Foreign Exchange
-Janelle Monae
-D'Angelo (it would be an act of Jesus to bring him out, but that's what Coachella is about, right?)
-Sade (ditto)
-Me'Shell Ndegeocello
-Dwele
-Donnie
-Tortured Soul
-Outkast (The Love Below is R&B enough for me)
-Saul Williams (spoken word or music, either one)
-Goldie (Dear Christ, if you brought this man back from the dead....)
-Raphael Saadiq
-Raheem Davaughn
-Solange Knowles (Yeah I know, but the new album's not half bad)
-P.M. Dawn (Save them from lameness! Bring them back to the cool!!!!)
-Amel Larrieux
-Kelis

...and here are some R&B acts NOT to book:

-Lauryn Hill
-Lauryn Hill
-Lauryn Hill

I would be down for Badu, and i would only accept Laryn Hill if she was with the Fugees.
