Nobody here talks about them much but they were a big influence on a lot of great bands we all love. From Joy Division-Nick Cave-JAMC-Soft Cell-Lydia Lunch-Julian Cope-Spiritualize and many many more. They were fucking ground breaking! Both alive and would be amazing to see em' at Coachella.

they could, should, will and can play! I would love to see them at sunset before Primal Scream.

Hearing "Rocket USA" or "Ghost Rider" would be perfect out there!

Suicide were like the underground to the underground. I'm a late-70's- late 80's music obsessive and even I barely know them. I don't think I would know them at all if I hadn't gone through that "I'll try anything on WaxTrax" phase.

Your list of influences reminds me of two things.

1- Why the FUCK hasn't Nick Cave ever appeared at Coachella?

2- I saw an old Venture Brothers episode last week and almost did a spit take when I heard The Monarch say "Where did they get a picture of me making out with Stiv Bators and Lydia Lunch?" (Later, there was a reference to a picture of Dr Girlfriend "in a hottub with Jim Foetus.")

yeah Coachella is just too mainstream... I mean they just get all the top 40 stuff and popular acts like THROBBING GRISTLE. What was I thinking?

i'll throw in my vote for Suicide as well... i would still say though that Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds are long over-due. hell it would have been perfect last year with "dig!" to support on the main stage. saw them thrice last year and they were great all three times, especially for "call upon the author".

although i will add that i would love to see einsturzende neubauten and an unwound reunion at some point, if it can ever happen.

Dude.. Relax..

My point is, that there are "Top 40" Alternative bands that play (bjork, rage, Smashing Pumpkins, Killers, Radiohead, Oasis, f-ing Madonna, Rumours of Britney Spears?) and a band like Suicide always ends up getting the squeeze.

Suicide, fits in at ATP more than it does at Coachella.
