I miss the Bunnymen.
Thanks for the reminder...I need to pull their stuff out.

I saw them with New Order & Gene Loves Jezabel in 86 at the Forum.
Amazing show!

I saw them in 2006 with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and a bunch of others, they put on a good show

I was at the Irvine Meadows show in the pit with the rain! Amazing!

ooo I was at that show too. I remember the girlies going apeshit for Gene Loves Jezebel, whom I hated, and still hate to this day.
Echo was great, but New Order phoned it in, acting as if they were just playing the Substance CD and faking playing instruments. Still, I have fond memories of that night.

Echo played a couple years ago at the Fonda, and they were still great. They should absolutely play Coachella.

I would love to see them play next year. Gonna go look for my CD's and do some reminiscing(sp?).

They would be great at sunset.

If only there could be a sunrise set, they could play the killing moon and we could pretend we were in the opening scene of donnie darko....

11-22-2008, 11:26 PM
I would not be surprised to see them do the Ocain Rain w/ Orchestra set at Coachella this year. They have announced that they will be doing more Ocean Rain shows in April/May.

Perhaps there's a reason that they announced they'd be doing LA and NY dates, but in the end, only did NY.

Hmmmm...

rage patton

have they played Coachella?

Didn't Coachella reunite Echo & The Bunnymen? I am too lazy to check. 2003 I think. Wait... wasn't 03 Souxie? It must have been 02 then.

kroqken

Echo and the Bunnymen should play Coachella, whether they have played there previously or not.

betao
11-23-2008, 06:46 AM
in 03 it was iggy pop. and in 2002 it was souxie.

I was considering going to see the Ocean Rain show in NYC a couple months ago. Echo and the Bunnymen doing that album at Coachella would definitely get me on a plane.

Yes.I saw them in NY right after Ocean Rain came out. They would be better at night, because of the dry ice thing they do.I don't know if they still do it,but it was cool back then....
Also, didn't that Irvine Meadows show have some kind of gang fight that resulted in a girl getting stabbed?

kroqken
11-24-2008, 02:22 AM
have they played Coachella?

No, I have checked all lineups from 1999 to 2008. Echo and the Bunnymen has never played Coachella.

Echo and the Bunnymen. I just started dusting off my albums again, so this is perfect timing. Tears for Fears is also good, but Echo is better.

Daft Punk or the Prodigy or Orbital with Tears for Fears and Echo & The Bunnymen? What the hell? Everybody knows that these guys would be perfect leading up to David Bowie. Echo takes the sunset, then Tears for Fears, and then David Bowie.

I saw the same tour. Did the Bunnymen go on before or after New Order when you saw them? I am pretty sure they alternated headlining slots.
