Investigators of a Los Angeles train wreck that killed 25 people are looking into reports that an engineer blamed for missing a stop signal light may have been distracted by text messaging moments before the crash, officials said on Monday.


Some 135 people were injured in the crash, more than 40 of them critically, in the deadliest U.S. rail tragedy in 15 years. Officials briefly raised the death toll to 26 on Monday before revising it back to 25.

it's interesting that when controlling the lives of maybe 7 at most in a car you cannot use a cell phone but when 1 is controlling the lives of 100's there isn't a law. kind of curious if you ask me.
