Hello all.

I was really excited when I heard Rage was going to be playing again and immediately wanted to hop on a plane and fly out there. I've never been or even heard of Coachella (Sorry =[ ) and Im posting to find out what other things will be there to do. I listen to tons of varieties of music so Im sure listening to bands is always available but even that can get boring. The reason I ask is I live in Michigan and plan on spending a few hundred if not a thousdand dollars or more just to get out there. (Rage and RHCP are almost worth that). Anyway, Ill be reading the past experiences til I hear back. Thanks in advance.

I hope you've bought your tickets. Keep reading the Past Experiences and Questions forums, and you should be good.

listening to bands can get boring??? really??
HUh.. well it is an art AND music festival after all. Besides the music which i am baffeled how one could get bored with that, there are "shops" and activities around the grounds. You could always pull up some grass and talk to your neighbor or take a nap in the sahara tent like i did last year( trust me..it wasnt that hard...( hehehe) It is worth it.. some of these bands are on the edge of making it big and thats always cool to see. Some are playing for us old timers that wish sometimes it was 1985 all over" gets all dreamy eyed"

Whatever the reason, go with an open mind and ear plus:)

if you do get bored which i doubt, there's a lot of casinos around there, including Morongo. I plan on gambling the rest of my money that monday after the festival.

There's also been a movie deal in years past. You can watch documentaries and other films that they decide to bring.

I am totally going to win at Morongo coming home like I did last year.. I won 400 bucks in 30 mins, better happen again!!

yeah, the trip costs a lot, but it is completely worth it. i'm coming from wisconsin to coachella for the 5th time. trust me, you will not run out of options for what to do.
