better than the kids, like at some colleges. yes they're adults, but with a college mentality. still dont think its a great idea, but a better deterrent than hoping nothing ever happens.

i wouldnt be surprised if those kids found the guns when the teachers arent looking and start playing with them.

The logic of people is just winding down as days pass.

My uncle was the Superintendant/principle/athletic director of Harrold a few years back. The town is literally a school house, small post office and around ten houses around the main "drag" (which was basically the school track).

No real concern about this because I believe all three teachers were carrying annyway, the town is beyond tiny, and most of the school employees were farmers also.

Little towns like that have a plausible excuse.

I'm hoping you're joking. My mom is a principal here in Los Angeles and she has taught at a couple of the rougher schools in the city and she has never had any desire nor seen any need to carry a weapon. There are precautions in schools that minimize the liability if a kid loses it such as lockdowns. For teachers to carry weapons is wreckless.

am I the only person in the world who supports the idea of a TASER program?
check out their website. the devices aren't to blame in all the injuries and deaths. as usual, it's the brutally violent police who use the devices.

I fucking wish tasers were legal for civilian use in ontario like they are in about thirty US states. people should be allowed to carry a single-use taser that dispenses tags that are tied to the individual's driver's license, etc. nothing wrong with teachers being able to protect themselves. but has nobody considered that a teacher firing a gun at a student would most likely not just kill one student, but several with one bullet, given the close proximity of hundreds of other children?
