So we have to come up with a day and time still as well though we can wait for official word on Coachella dates which should occur in the next 30 days or so right? Anyway, i'm still researching weapons. I'm considering guerilla tactics. Also we need to figure out how to kick this whole thing off. I'm thinking the area near the showers right under the Polo Score Board in the far corner of the campground. I could be wrong but I think tha'ts the south west corner of the field.

although we might want to move it from the corner to the first aisle east(?) of there to avoid fighting near the port-o-potties. I think that's actually where the trucks were anyways.

We just have to make sure we can secure the water. That's the toughest part, a bunch of us trying to fill up using a valuable commodity like water might be difficult. Unless we can bring in a bunch of gallons.

That spot was way beyond perfect. My first Coachella we were deep inside of tent city and it was such a challenge to find our shit at the end of the night. Being able to just stumble out, walk straight and plop into a chair was glorious

if we want to be more organized since this is not just a "water gun fight" it's "THE OFFICIAL CAMPGROUND SUPER SOAKER BATTLE 2009"

1. We need an exact count of who's battling.

2. We need two team captains

2. Decide on the type of game, a lot of people mentioned capture the flag, which for all purposes I think would be f*ckin kick ass

3. Captains pick board members to be on their team "kick-ball style" one at a time. I nominate frozen pilgrim cuz he started this thread.

Exactly...if the game finishes, or someone is brought back into the game (capture the flag does have jail breaks) the person may still be wet (i'm aware it is the desert and water drys quickly, but if you get soaked, you'll be wet for a bit of time). I was thinking it'd be a full out battle, and if people wanted to be allies, they can. And this is reminding me to pack up my water guns while I'm visiting my parents...

Exactly...if the game finishes, or someone is brought back into the game (capture the flag does have jail breaks) the person may still be wet (i'm aware it is the desert and water drys quickly, but if you get soaked, you'll be wet for a bit of time). I was thinking it'd be a full out battle, and if people wanted to be allies, they can. And this is reminding me to pack up my water guns while I'm visiting my parents...

I never thought about all the specifics, I just heard "capture the flag" and I mentally transposted myself back to when I was 12 and going camping and playing capture teh flag and having a blast.

It was awesome we played capture the flag at night and almost got mauled by a pack of rowdy racoons. Did you know racooons growl?

next year perhaps. the supersoakers still provided a great cooling down tool. fill it with ice water from the coolers and spray people down as they walk by. we got many great comments about it. :D
