I know it is unlikely but how about the Fugees for 09

at least we know McCain is for gay rights with a top ten like that.

isn't it a little narcissistic for obama to like yes we can? I mean the only reason he could possibly like that song is because it samples him.

Obama's showing him love for showing Obama love.

I may have to vote against Obama if a vote for Obama is a vote for Kanye.

You're fucked, Malcolm, because a vote for Obama may mean a vote for Kanye (and, if you want to think narrowly and idealistically, a vote for black people everywhere), but a vote for McCain means a vote for something Kanye can rap about and profit from.

And THAT is why we need a three party system.

I defy Kanye to take on the Libertarians.

Hmm, they could use some Japanese power pop and mariachi music to make there lists more PC.

Whatever, both Obama and McCain should be spending less time with music and more time reading proposed bills etc.

But really, ABBA? WTF?

Thanks buddy... Im fairly open to listen to whatever... only things I hate are pretty much country and r&b, and that awful mainstream Soulja Boy/Rhianna type shit.

I might go against all my primal instincts and vote for McCain if he were to make 'Take A Chance On Me' his official campaign song.

Seeing as you live in Ohio I'm going to request that you don't. If you were on the west coast it would be no worries.

He actually tried to do that, and ABBA gave him the smack down (http://blog.newsweek.com/blogs/stumper/archive/2008/07/28/mccain-s-musical-woes.aspx).

In fact, most of McCain's favorite artists have sent him cease-and-desists about using their music, including Chuck Berry (he was using "Johnny B. Goode").

From the linked story:

Earlier this year, ABBA nixed McCain's attempt to use "Take a Chance on Me" (a personal favorite) at his rallies. "We played it a couple times and it's my understanding they went berserk," the candidate confessed.

From the linked story:

I retract my statement. He's not winning my vote that easily. He's going to have to dance to ABBA while sniffing poppers on national television a la Al Pacino in 'Cruising.'
