Ardentbiscuit
07-22-2008, 05:14 PM
Location TBA, we are assuming LA somewhere, probably Shrine or Toy District (where they had Hard NYE) but who knows? It could be almost anywhere.

Not my floor. And Jen, HARD Summer(which just happend) was like $30 a ticket? Plus fees, it could always be worse ya know.... Oh and you forgot to include Yaz in that ''I took a trip to see''.

I really don't see it being more than $50, probably including fees. Just get your tickets early, you know the drill. Also buying from outlets near your city is a good idea, I always go to DJ culture and save everytime.

I lived there before moving to Reno, so I usually just hit up old friends when I get back in town. I have some pretty good hookups around town.

But, yeah I am thinking up checking out a huge Halloween shindig this year, the ones that they used to hold at Mandalay were always some massive affairs. There's also the Fetish and Fantasy Ball that takes over the entire Alexis Park Resort across from the Hard Rock.

Fuck, now Crookers has been added!?!?! Nice. Ya know, all this electrohouse, glitch, fidget, whatever shit has grown on me and I dig it, but I hope the trend in the coming months (and 09) reverts back to something a little (no a lot) more soulful and funky. That being said, fuck Nocturnal (ravers suck) -Im all about Hard haunted now. Getting the costume ready....

chairmenmeow47
07-24-2008, 12:25 PM
WHA?????

it's just not as cool as i thought it would be. new years is a much cooler holiday to spend in vegas than halloween. perhaps the clubs throw some awesome events, but i remember the clubs in vegas being expensive as fuck. we went to a rave that sucked and then walked around the strip and lamented the lack of costumes and fun and just went to the room and continued to drink. maybe it was just a bad year, but it wasn't as great as you'd think.

and mandalay bay is the shit. the four seasons owns the upper half of the hotel and i got to stay there with a friend who worked for the four seasons for my 24th birthday. what a pimp ass hotel.

Bud Luster

Halloween in Vegas was great last year. We were there the weekend b4 for Vegoose and the place was insane. Costumes abound.

because my friends were playing

crazzz2007

ok good reason.

but that's why you didn't have a fun time. everyone was partying like crazy in the clubs, hence why the strip wasn't full of people in costumes.

Wow, that is going to be fucking awesome! Almost makes me wish I lived in southern califonia... almost.

you bitch! naw j/k the one city I'd live in outside of LA is Seattle.

Looks like a boardie dance party is in the making on Halloween!

WOOO HOOOOO! (not sure exclamation mark was required but its so darn cutesy)

Does anyone have any idea on prices? Gonna be tough to swing this after Radiohead, Treasure Island, and Disneyland...but I'd like to give it the ol' college try just the same..

get in on the first wave of ticket sales, they'll be cheaper...Im gonna look into vip for this once I look over the prices.

EDIT: I went with VIP although I think the price gap between GA and VIP is way too much...I know what im getting and in the end I may be out $25 or so going this route but its fine.

What situation are you speaking of? The only thing that went wrong in the VIP section of EDC was the bathroom being overflown with human waste and urine. :) Other than that, it was pretty much smooth sailing for the VIP area.

But really, it wasn't that bad of a purchase if you ask me. I was able to get into the festival without having to stand in line, so that is worth the VIP for Hard--which I have not purchased just yet.

VIP didn't have to wait that long, it was the general admin that did. Either way, I don't think this event will have the line problem that EDC did. The Shrine has always gone well for me line wise.

Soulwax and SMD at the same time?!!?

Ardentbiscuit
08-18-2008, 10:26 PM
Not sure but they did have 2 stages at summer fest...

Main Stage

9 p.m.: DJ Squeak E. Clean
9:50 p.m.: Kid Sister
10:40 p.m.: Spank Rock
Midnight: N.E.R.D.
1:10 a.m.: MSTRKRFT
2:40 a.m.: The Bloody Beetroots
3:40 a.m.: Destructo

Indoor Stage

9 p.m.: Mr. White
9:40 p.m.: DJ Momjeans (Danny Masterson)
10:10 p.m.: Jason Bentley
11 p.m.: LA Riots
Midnight: Steve Aoki
1 a.m.: DJ A-Trak
2:30 a.m.: Miles Dyson
3:10 a.m.: Kill the Noise

And Hard NYE had 2 stages, the map showed 3 but it only had 2...

Too cliche.

I was thinking about wearing nothing but a tie so I can go as Donkey Kong and fit in with that Mario theme.

Out to Cali for Haunted Mansion, then right back to Vegas for Mr. Flash and the rest of the bangers.

So great this came up since there's no Vegoose this year.

i Was wondering if anyone else out there was planning on doing this. I think it will probably be one of the sickest weekends of my life.

I've been getting lots of myspace bulletins saying there is a big surprise coming. What could it be? New headliner?

I'm guessing it will be a rap/hip hop band/artist since they've had one at both of their other festivals...

M.I.A, could it be? I'm guessing M.I.A even though she said no more touring.

It could be Justice, but I hope it's not. I have seen them 2 times, and will see them 3 times by the end of street scene. so a break will be needed from them.
