I'm currently listening to the score to Sunshine (the sci-fi film) by John Murphy and Underworld. This thing is outstanding.

From what I've been told I really need to pick up There Will Be Blood as well.

Others I enjoy:
Friday Night Lights
Vanilla Sky
The Crow (even after all these years, it's one of the best)

Doom Generation
Nowhere
The Fountain

Also, they play some really good songs during the movie Forces of Nature although I haven't checked out the actual soundtrack. I remember some Faithless, Lo Fidelity Allstars, and Sarah McLachlan though.

i love the chairman's waltz from memoirs of a geisha and that erik satie gnossienne in the painted veil.

i think the star wars movies are so awesome due largely to their soundtrack. i like the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind soundtrack because it fits so well with the action on screen. the romeo + juliet soundtrack is an old favourite of mein, along with pulp fiction and clueless. goodfellas has an outstanding soundtrack. i loved the pianist soundtrack too because it's all chopin, lol. rules of attraction has a good soundtrack too.

Most of the music in Everything Is Illuminated was done by Gogol Bordello. As well, Wristcutters: A Love Story used a lot of Gogol Bordello songs.

Angleo Badalamenti's soundtracks for David Lynch's films are my favorite. His work on Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet are so crucial to the mood of those films.

Another favorite is the Natural Born Killers soundtrack, which Trent Reznor produced.

I just heard the really beautiful score to the film La Planete Sauvage by Alain Goraguer. The film looks like it's got some really amazing art, so I'd like to see how the music interplays with the visuals. The score is definitely worth a download regardless.

Pretty much everything from Ennio Morricone is great as well, of course. My neighbor just dropped off this box of records to go through and The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly was definitely my biggest score. Once Upon A Time In The West is also one of my favorites.

Great thread, I was glad to see one of these around.
