Visually stunning, but the story didn't hold together very well.

definitely not as tight and focused as the first one, but it is an imaginative ride. it really plays with the tone of a pulp comic and infuses a lot of off-beat humor. my favorite stuff was The Angel of Death and everything in Troll Market. it worked for me as George Lucas(on a good day) channeled through Jim Henson (Labyrinth) in a Lord of the Rings world.
i will say that the beginning still rings negative for me. the child Hellboy was just grating.
