Assuming you will be uploading albums that are 192kbps (about 70mb.), you'll be able to carry around approximately 14 albums(14.6). What would you not be able to go without?

Just to clarify, a double album DOES count as two. Not just one.

Had to think about it a bit, but I think this is my list. In no specific order.

1.) Pantera Official Live - 101 Proof
2) Pink Floyd - Animals
3.) Tool - Aenima
4.) Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine
5.) Nirvana - Unplugged
6.) Jeno - Live In Paris
7.) Portishead - Third
8.) The Future Sound Of London - ISDN
9.) The Black Keys - Attack And Release
10.) Depeche Mode, The Singles 86-98 - Disc 1
11.) Fela Kuti - Expensive Shit, He Miss Road
12.)Metallica - And Justice For All...
13.) Tom Petty - Full Moon Fever
14.) Sublime - 40oz. To Freedom

was there some restriction indicating that we can never change what's on the stick? because if not, I'd always have the 14 most recent albums I bought (/recordings I downloaded) on it. perhaps excepting any exceptionally bad ones.

I like your style Kali, I haven't seen a lot of those yet and there are some gems for sure...

Also, i didn't think girls liked Eyedea, you don't like Atmosphere more?
The lyrics and song themes on that album are nuts tho! I love it!

It was between Eyedea and Atmosphere... but I went with Eyedea because I couldn't decide on which Atmosphere album, though I do really love the new album 'When Life Hands you Lemons, Paint that Shit Gold'

This is tough...okay, I'm going on my mood tonight. In no particular order:
1) Ben Folds Five - Whatever & Ever Amen
2) Built to Spill - Keep It Like A Secret
3) Guster - Keep It Together
4) DCFC - Transatlanticism
5) Allison Krauss - Forget About It
6) Tori Amos - Under the Pink

I didn't necessarily pick my favorite artists...hell, Rufus Wainwright didn't even make the list! But I had to go with records I love from start to finish, and I only like 3/4 of the albums from some of my favorites (Rufus, My Morning Jacket, etc.)

I don't consider this cheating because this is a real mp3 CD I burned to leave in my car for "emergencies." Stuff I could listen to at any time, stuff that would immediately get me interested and in a good mood.

Slightly different criteria, but whatever.

Angelica - The Seven Year Itch
Bikini Kill - The Singles
Elliot Smith - Either/Or
Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
Les Savy Fav - Go Forth
Metric - Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?
Modest Mouse - Lonesome Crowded West
My Morning Jacket - Z
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
Sleater-Kinney - Out Dig Me
Songs: Ohia - The Lioness
The Jesus and Mary Chain - Honey's Dead
The Mountain Goats - Tallahassee
The Suicide Machines - Destruction by Definition
The Thermals - Fuckin' A
Tullycraft - Beat, Surf, Fun
Wolf Parade - Apologies to the Queen Mary

That is 696 kb. I am not sure what I burned all those at. There's probably some at 128 kbps but yeah.

The date on the folder is Jan 9, 2007 but it seems like the disc is older than that. At any rate it is at least that old. I'm sure I'd make a different list today but this is still fuckin' solid.
