I hope Psychic Friend will post future job openings at Goldenvoice. With this recession, any hope to work for an awesoe concert promotions company would be a blessing. Of course, the actual job posted here was not one I was qualified for. Also, I do not know if GV would want me as an employee, although my passion and enthusiasm is contagious.

And I had no clue their offices were there. I work right around the corner from the El Rey.

No, I am real. I simply love Coachella and everything Tollet and his late partner did. It is an amazing history. Coachella has revolutionized he concert industry and revived festivals in North America. I will put on everything that I am 100 percent sincere. Goldenvoice is not perfect, but it is a humanistic company that seems to really care about music, not just making a quick profit. PS, 10 years later, water bottles will STILL be $2.00 at Coachella

Paul T. should be on the cover of the Wall Street Journal for showing concert promoters how its done and how to properly run a business, no matter what the economy is like. Remember, even in a recession, Coachella will sell out. I hope Obama can make an appearance there, but he is probably too busy.

So you seeing Twilight again tonight Tessa?

Yep, just got back. 4th time tonight. 5th time tomorrow, 6th time on Tuesday unless I end up seeing it Sunday as well. It gets better and better the more I see it.

The audience tonight was fucking ridiculous. It was a 7:45 show in westwood so I think we got a lot of college kids, but everyone laughed throughout the whole thing. At first I thought they actually paid money to come make fun of it, but they would scream when Edward would come on screen, and Jacob would come on screen,... you could tell they were actually fans. They were fans that were so fucking giddy to finally be watching Twilight that they decided to nervously laugh through every fucking dramatic, not funny scene in the movie. It was killing it for me. If it wasn't my 4th time seeing it instead of my 1st, I would have been so pissed. What I was happy about though, was my 20 year old little sister came and saw it with me, and she is totally not in to that shit. She was sort of forced to come along. I was explaining why it was so popular to her before the movie started and we basically agreed she was going to hate it. She ended up really liking it, and because of the retarded audience, wants to come back and see it with me again. That made me so happy.

kroqken
11-22-2008, 06:45 AM
Tessa, some of that money used to see Twilight over and over could be used to lower the national debt, but that is a much more boring activity. I am sure that movie will beat "Bolt" at the weekend box ofice.

BECK: I have to tell you, my daughters have been talking -- I mean, yapping about "Twilight" forever. Both my daughters, Mary and Hannah, are fans of it.

I started reading this one just a few days -- I`m only a few pages in. I don`t mean this -- I hope you don`t take this as a slam. Are you familiar with Cormac McCarthy?

MEYER: No, I`m not.

Tessa is cool, even if she is a little too obcessed with Twilight. I am obcessed with Todd Solonez movies, I cannot wait for his next one which stars Paul Reubens of Pee Wee Herman fame. I also wish they would remake Ghost World with a whole new cast. Maybe Jeff Goldblum could play the Steve Bushemi character.

Pretty soon, the weekend box office results for Twilight will be released and I think it will be one of the biggest movies of the year. Not quite dark Knight level, but up there nonetheless.
