I do dig the Hercules and Love Affair album. I do not tend to give a shit about most DFA stuff, it all sounds the same and it's boring (fuck you all, LCD Soundsystem is fucking lame, and even lamer live).

Are you kidding? LCD Soundsystem was without a doubt one of the best/fun shows I've ever seen...so was The Rapture...

Picked up a DFA remixes double vinyl a while back. Some cool cuts on there, and I'm def not much of an LCD fan.

God I hope so, all the videos and pictures I've seen have made it look like a total blast. And think, not every song sounds exactly the same...

Yeah. I'm being harsh. But with all the fanboy worship for them on this board, someone has got to provide some counter balance.

I dig the song "Daft Punk is Playing at My House," but like I implied before, it all sounds the same. So a song now and then is cool, but that's about it.

My favorite act on DFA is The Juan Maclean. His new single, Happy House, is fucking DOPE. It's like 15 minutes long and never gets boring.

I was in the one of the cold tents at Coachella this year and "House of Jealous Lovers" came on and my niece and I started singing and dancing around and for one fleeting moment i was the hit of the party.
Then i went back to being a nerd. In essence The Rapture was my savior at that moment.

I'm agreeing with Trick, I've come to appreciate the consistency from The Juan Maclean. Most of their remixes are pretty solid and their original stuff is getting better.

I love me some LCD Soundsystem. They work much better on their own than at a venue. The Rapture put on some really fun live shows. Black Dice are cool and do some unique stuff, but I'm not sure if they're still on DFA. The Juan Maclean was the soundtrack to my car in 2005. Loved it.

The DFA kicks much ass. LCD, Juan Maclean, the Rapture, and now Hercules & Love Affair? Disco for the kids that aren't old enough to remember disco, which kinda includes me.

Solid solid solid. I think I heard it in today's XLR8R podcast featuring The Juan Maclean. Cop that shit.

LCD Soundsystem, Hercules & Love Affair are tops.

Holy Ghost is pretty good.

Do we count Hot Chip? They are damn good.

I'm digging about two songs from Syclops...I much more prefer Maurice Fulton's work on Kathy Diamond's album.

The Juan is great.

Shit Robot is too dubbed out for me.

I'm diggin' some of the stuff on the Death From Abroad imprint.

I really had fun at LCDs el rey show after their coachella appearance.
The Rapture at the fonda was fun too.

shoot dont remember...probably the 1st night. although I prefer to be at the second when a band is doing a two nighter. they seem to be warmed up and used to the venue/stage and do better.

I went second night, and it was a fantastic show. The second best time I've seen them, after the 2005 show at the El Rey, when M.I.A. opened. The Hollywood Bowl show was spectacular as well.

I wasn't too impressed by the Bowl show actually although I was quite drunk, but I was right in the front. I guess I would have rather seen them play after the Arcade Fire too,

I liked the Bowl show but the 3 nights at the El Rey were better (and of those the 2nd night was definitely the best). Still, nothing will beat LCD in the Sahara at Coachella 2007 (except, possibly, if we were lucky enough to get a repeat performance in 2009!!).

Of all the times I've seen LCD

2005 at the El Rey
2007 at the El Rey (2nd night)
2007 at Hollywood Bowl
2007 at Coachella

But it's all relative since they were all fantastic.

Yup. It was right around the release of the first album, and they played everything from that album and every track from their singles at that point. and M.I.A. was still relatively under the radar, and she fought to get recognized. It was a great night. The whole venue was dancing like no tomorrow.
