Ok, so I don't see much talk about these guys, and I have to say I fucking love their new album, Apocalypso.

"My People" and "This Boy's in Love" are the standout tracks in the album and it would be amazing for them to show up at the Sahara next year.

And for those not familiar with The Presets, their an electronic act from Sydney, Australia.

Here's the vid for "My People".

Any opinions?

Yeah, I like it even more than their first one. This Boy's in Love is the best track they've ever made, imo..very Depeche Mode-y. Definitely one of my most listened to albums during the last couple of months.

They are a MUST for the Sahara in 09.

Their show at the El Rey was fun but there was this one old super sweaty dude in Red who kept running into people with his dancing and he didn't give a shit. Everyone tried to stay a few steps away but he kept...intruding.

Lifelike Remix of This Boy's In Love = AMAAAZING

loved em' for a few years now. I do get a Depeche Mode early Duran Duran(high vocal) feel on some songs.

"Kicking and Screaming" is a good tune to workout to.

"Anywhere" is my favorite off the new album. I can listen to it over and over and over. Great live set full of energy and I would LOVE to see them in the Sahara! I was at the El Rey too dub! (and really drunk)

Did you fall over once (or maybe more) and make out with some chick? If so, I think you were next to me for the first part of the show.

Yeah, I was getting that DM similarity with the new record, but its subtle. Also, the track "If I Know You" starts like if where Morrisey singing.

Finally some Presets love here. Yes, this new album is wonderful, an album I can listen to all the way thru and not skip a track.

Agreed on giving them a spot for the Sahara in 09'.
