Why not post this in the Oasis thread, Stef? Asshole.

the gallaghers should be locked in a small room together with no toilet, no drugs, and a lot of vodka.
and the door stays sealed until they're both fucking dead.

If they were locked in a small room together, they would just produce more great songs. It is what they do.

Let us consolidate talk about the new album in the Oasis thread (which, may I remind everyone, is for positive Oasis talk only).

what about a "Oasis 2008 North American Tour" Thread? We have one US date, a canadian tour, and some mexican love.

Would they go to the UK in october, in between canada and mexico? or is october gonna be the us tour?

I'm not sure if this is for the new album, but I thought you guys might be interested....

Mancunian rock gods Oasis booked out some time with Chemical Brothers' Tom Rowlands and Interface's Steve Dub. Tom and Steve also worked on some mixes for Oasis' fellow North-Westerners, Doves

Let us move this talk to the Oasis thread.

this one feels fresher, cleaner...and since all there is to talk about right now is the new album then i think this one will do just fine.

Because this is the "New Oasis album - 'Dig Out Your Soul' " thread, and the two should not be confused, obviously.

No, Stef has the power of the Ghostbusters hat, and he is british, so he gets all the say on this one.

This is pretty exciting! (http://www.nme.com/news/oasis/38136)

That remix is pretty cool. I am sure the 'very important Oasis news' will be the announcement of the UK tourdates in November, though.

nme is pretty slow.

that remix and rumors have been around for more than 1 week already.

It turns out the "important news" was the album tracklisting and artwork.

'Dig Out Your Soul''s tracklisting is:

'Bag It Up'
'The Turning'
'Waiting For The Rapture'
'The Shock Of The Lightning'
'I'm Outta Time'
'(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady'
'Falling Down'
'To Be Where There's Life'
'Ain't Got Nothin''
'The Nature Of Reality'
'Soldier On'

Artwork is:

Apparently it's an original piece of art by the famous artist Julian House.

I do not like that artwork. long gone are the days of... whoever their artwork director was for the first three albums & corresponding singles.

looks eerily similar to the radiohead box set. along with an enhancement -- the bonus tracks come on both cd and vinyl, not just cd. also a slight price hike, at $99. (or 50 for uk buyers, here (http://store.oasisinet.com/store/page4.asp?suptype=1&t=1&sub_type=5&prod_id=250&col=30)).

lol, the email announcement claimed it was their first ever box set. bullshit. who do these marketers think they are, flat-out lying like that?

now if only I knew whether the album were any good, it'd make it easier to decide whether to buy the box set or not.

Might deserve it's own thread. The clip is on youtube. Some nut attacks a gallagher, they leave the stage and in the clip I watched the crowd started chanting "fuck that guy" It was kinda funny.
