breakfast?

i've never been a breakfast eater. i prefer sleep to breakfast. i do drink iced-tea religiously though. but bacon owns everything that could possibly be mentioned in this thread as i said in the poll about this recently. i'll also repeat the story about how my mom would send me out the door with a few slices of bacon wrapped in a paper towel as a kid. i swear she's made bacon every day of her life. god bless the south.

i guess french toast is pretty awesome too. but that's generally the thing i start to crave after a night of trouble. my friends all know i'm ready to go when i start talking about some "fuckin freench toast" all 40 year old virgin style.

next week at the wakarusa festival, there is a bacon cookoff ... bacon as a meal, a snack, veggie bacon, precooked bacon, on and on ... people even fly flags at their campsites with bacon on them ... now that is a little bit much for me, but its a family affair .... x****

I don't have time to eat breakfast. I have to get up at 7am, make the kids' breakfast, and then run around all day after them. I finally get to eat at 8:30pm, but by that time, I just want to sleep.

My lady does this. I think it is a bit much for one meal, especially when I'm paying for FUCKIN ROOMSERVICE :) French Toast + an English muffin??!!!!???!! Seriously, I think French toast + bacon is enough for one meal. She says she needs the muffin to kill the sweet yababa yababa yeah...

Anyways, my favorite is a Mexican burrito omelet with salsa and a glass off orange juice. This morning I had a bottle of water, 2 pieces of wheat toast with orange jelly, a banana, a peach, an apricot and some grapes.

Nothing better after a night of drinking then some juevos rancheros or a breakfast burrito from Filbertos (or rolebertos, or humbertos, or some other of the berto clan). My preferred breakfast burrito consists of beans, cheese, potatoes, bacon and sour cream, makes my arteries harden just thinking about it. But if I am not drinking the night before I tend to stick to a monster energy drink and some peanut butter crackers.

Today I had a banana, a blueberry cereal bar and a glass of juice. I can't leave much time in the mornings for breakfast but if I don't eat anything I'll be hungry until lunch.

I have no idea how to decide what my favorite breakfast is. French toast with maple syrup? An mushroom and cheese omelette with toast?

Fresh fruit is good at breakfast. Good juice is fairly necessary.

Honestly, though. I eat three scrambled eggs and two slices of Canadian Bacon. And also, for some reason, every morning when I get out of the shower I start gagging a little bit. My girlfriend, Lady Danger, tried to tell me that she thought I had worms and at night they crawled up my esophagus or something and that when I got up it irritated them and made me gag. I considered it and then decided this was not true. I'm Malcolm Jamal Awesome and I approve this message.

3 of us split a bottle of JD on prom night. hadnt had any whiskey for years after that. then I found Maker's Mark and that went right out the window. i dont even drink JD anymore, not because of prom night, but because it sucks compared to M'sM.

Breakfast should be the biggest meal of the day Tom.

I'm just sayin that food and not poop should be the biggest thing going down in the morning.

Perhaps Tom wants someone to bump the old poop thread for him. That'd be a treat.

I had a killer breakfast this morning. We had a breakfast party at work and people brought waffles with whipped cream and blackberries, strada, musubi, fried spam, cinnamon raisin hawaiian sweetbread, fruit salad, and blueberry cream cheese scones. I contributed bellinis. I don't think I will eat for the rest of the day.

how do I follow up that breakfast? a couple cookies with milk?

What kind of cookies? What kind of milk?

menikmati

Sadly not warm freshly baked cookies right out of the oven. I'm pretty sure the milk came fresh from cows.....at some point, before being processed into some 2% mixture through hundreds of machines and being sold at a major supermarket.

I have a friend who is pregnant who has been eating nothing but oreo cookies and 2% milk for breakfast for the last five months.

... Do you have something to tell us, Erik?

Yes. And a reason to get out all my old kid toys. And to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with squeeze-it's for lunch.

What on earth is a squeeze-it?

Otherwise, sounds good count me in.

Never had those?? They had faces on the bottle. I use to drink those for lunch back in 3rd grade and stuff. I don't know if they're still around. Doubt it. Guess it's just Hi-C fruit juice boxes now.

Wow. That was a spread. Not to sound dumb but what is strada and musubi?

Same boring breakfast. Oatmeal, dried cranberries, dried cherries, dried apricots, almonds, flax seed and 1/2 of a chocolate doughnut with decaf coffee.

I think those Squeeze-its look familiar. Although I'm fairly certain I have not actually tasted one ever.

I spelled it incorrectly. Stratta is a savory breakfast casserole sort of thing made with bread, eggs and cheese and often extras like bacon or spinach or mushrooms.

Musubi is what people in Hawaii call onigiri (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onigiri).

I've had Musubi before, just didn't know the official name. They are an aquired taste. I love nori but the taste of toasted rice is not my cup of tea.

Breakfast.
Oatmeal, dried cranberries, dried cherries, dried apricots, almonds, flax seed, and a blueberry bar with decaf.

Eating what is known as a hippie breakfast around here. That would be sliced strawberries, mixed fruit granolla, almonds and yogurt (today's flavor: chocolate). On the side: sourdough toast. Drink: Orange juice.

Wait, are we talking about spam musubi? The Hawaiian delicacy? If so, I didn't know 7-11 sold them. If you've never had the spam version, it is damn good and the Hawaiians that live across the street make some great food.

I had a vegetarian breakfast burrito and even though I don't normally eat breakfast, this was pretty good. Not too heavy like a full on meat burrito.

No, I am referring to plain musubi (rice triangle wrapped with nori). I see them near the registers at the Mitsuya food court in Costa Mesa.

Mr. Bastard--I do say this with all due respect, but drinking coffee without the caffeine is like subtitles for the blind. What's the point? I mean, O'Douls was an invention, while noble for the soberiety attempting alkies, that made even less sense. Anyhow, rock what you want--I'm just venting.

If breakfast burritos didn't have like, a million calories and a gajillion grams of artery-clogging goodness, I'd eat it everyday lol. Okay, maybe I lie but them things are alright by me. Especially egg whites, purple onions, salsa, turkey bacon or bay shrimp, and guac or avacado...hmm

That actually sounds rather healthy. I mean, it may be huge and as such way more calories than necessary for one meal but that is what a fridge is for.

For breakfast this morning I had half a papaya, pumpkin flax granola with pomegranate acai yogurt and good apple cider and tea.
