Thanks. I hope I can get into this.

I really, really need to go to this because I missed them thanks to them conflicting with once-in-a-lifetime chance to see Goldfrapp and Aphex Twin.

yea, no way i'll be around a computer at noon on Friday.

2 ticket limit. If someone is only buying one and could spot me on i'd really appreciate it. I don't really deal with Pay Pal, but can drop off money if you live in LA Friday or Saturday no problem

Punk rock may not be your thing, but don't diss the people who do like it. At least it's a good punk band and not Thursday or Good Charlotte.

thelastgreatman

Broken Boy Soldier. That song is twice as good as anything else they've released, and is evidence of what Jack White SHOULD be trying to make instead of continuing to jerk off with the fucking White Stripes. That song is fucking driving, hair-standing-on-end, ball-blasting rock. That's what I was hoping this new album was gonna show more of, but instead it's more of the other crap.

Goddammit Randy, you're so wrong about the new album I can't even believe it. And you fucked up by not seeing them. As unbelievably awesome as MMJ was at sunset on Sunday, The Raconteurs were just as good, if not slightly better, on Friday night. They're incredible live, Jack just goes wild up there (thinking especially of that rendition of "Blue Veins"). You would've gotten it right then, just like you did with MMJ, if you'd seen them.

if most people are going for 2 tickets then that is maybe 500-600 orders that would go through based on capacity of venue and taking a chunk of tickets out for guest list purposes. that is a pretty small amount of people considering how big the raconteurs are.

i know that feeling for sure.

This should be a great show. Henry Fonda is a pretty dman great venue. Only been to a show there once or twice (Flogging MOlly is all i remember) but been to the nightclub a few times.

It's a great small venue and parking isn't that awful around there. Look for street parking, you might get lucky. One thing I really like about the Fonda is the high stage. its raised more than most venues. You'll have a great view of the band wherever you are.

Hey, I have an extra ticket for Raconteurs this Sunday, not selling but want to go with a cute down-to-earth girl as I am a handsome down to earth boy. Please be a fan as my girlfriend is not and my friends don't get a comp on this one. Said girl also buys first two rounds, yeah!!!

Send pic and incidentals...

i would just like to say that about 60% of all the music i have been listening to lately consists of consolers of the lonely. seriously...i wasnt that into it after first listen, but by #4 i was hooked. i am now probably around # 20 or so and it just keeps getting better. especially after seeing them at coachella, that shit is even more amazing. we need more talented, just straight up rock n roll bands these days. in rainbows is great and all, but nothing hits me like a good ole fashion rock. so thank god for the raconteurs and MMJ's of the world. we need more of you...

during the introductions....jack said something to the effect of 'helping us out on keys and fiddle' so yeah, he's not one of the official members.

but that being said, he played his heart out and deserved a bow...if even just a little one and then step back to applaud the rest of the band.

kinda left me with a weird feeling for an otherwise spectacular show.

oh man...what a long ass day. so i kind of got screwed on a good spot cuz my buddy who was meeting me there lagged and so i had to wait at will call till he finally got there about 5 mins before they went on. so couldnt get that close, but hung out right behind the sound board and in front of the bar. there was a ton of fuckin tall people in front of us for a while which sucked, but i eventually got a better view. saw pf and vinyl for a bit, that was cool.

show was fuckin epic. does anybody else think that if these guys stay on this pace they could become one of the great rock n roll bands of our time? cuz i think they are on their way.

anybody get one of those posters? 30 bucks was a high price, but i figured it was an intimate show that i will want to look back on and remember when im old, so i ponied up and got one. i wasnt sure till he told me there was only 3 left, so i said fuck it.

yea i agree. I ended up watching him for a good amount of time due to the large head in front of me. guy rocked it like all the others in the group.

I know I was smashed, but did that poster really say "$12 cd, $10 shirt, $5 poster or all 3 for "$20". that seemed like too good of a deal.

.

I was thinking about that. Consolers is so much better than broken boy soldiers it'll be interesting to see what they do on their third album, but I think ultimately The White Stripes will have a say in how The Raconteurs are looked at. If The Stripes keep going I'm afraid that The Raconteurs will always be looked at as Jack White's "other" band. They are pretty incredible though, and its not just White. Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler are great and Benson and White really play off each other well.

maybe megs "breakdown" was the best thing to happen to rock n roll then? no, but seriously, i think even if the stripes keep going, it doesnt matter, as long as the raconteurs continue to put out albums like consolers and tear up shows like this, they will be able to get out of the stripes shadow and get the recognition they deserve.

i actually got there early hoping to get a seat in the first row up in the balcony, was pretty disappointed when it was roped off, could have left at 8 instead of 5 and probably still had close to the same spot i had for the show, which was on the right side of the sound board on the steps.

PS. did anyone notice the crowd noise mics? could we expect a Raconteurs Live from the Henry Fonda CD?
well, let's hope that the banshee in the audience who shrieked every other minute didn't ruin the recording entirely

my $0.02: Benson seemed out of it at first, but picked up his groove later on. Keeler & White drip sex, what beasts - totally understandable if a straight man fosters a crush on either one. enjoy their extended jams, but they should intersperse a few more straight-forward, fast rockers like "Salute..." into their set. per usual, they put on a show that give the songs, which mostly sound flat to me on record, a whole new dimension.

The one ready to stab stab. I was in the front and she had pushed her way up there in front of the people standing next to me. They didn't appreciate it very much and told security...she immediately started to freak out and started saying "no no no I'm nice I'm niiiiiiiiice they're mean! and then started yelling THEY DONT LIKE JACK THEY DONT LIKE HIM! The security guard realizing this girl was batshit insane finally tries to go get her and she takes off running into the crowd yelling noooooooooooooooo! That was pretty wild.

really? well i blame dani, she should have stepped up and made an introduction. i was chattin with her for a couple minutes, but then the show started gettin goin, so we went separate ways. i went down to the side for a while, then came back up later and was probably right behind you guys.

Yeah, I blame Dani too. She's gay. Not literally, of course. But I have known her waaaayyy more than long enough to say with great knowledge and conviction that she is gay. In fact, you may have met me at some point and you just don't know who I am... or not. Whatever.

Hi sexecutioner, I am Camille. Nice to meet ya!
