I'm at that point in my life where things I clearly remember are having their "10 year anniversary". It started with Big Lebowski and now this.

I remember in middle school the fold out poster in the linear art being past around class and gawked at by every 14 year old boy.

I remember those uncomfortable middle school dances where this would be played, right after the really uncomfortably slow dances to Nsync.

but mostly I remember this:

Oh god, Britney, I miss you terribly. I love new crazy fat you, but I miss your shimmering pop gems and the sweating hands of nervous acne-wracked boys.

But it seems like only yesterday....

I realized I was bi after watching that music video 'back in the day'. (Although I always thought that half-naked part alien girl on "Ocean Girl" on Disney was totally fuckable too).

In all honesty Britney Spears never did anything for me, even back then. By that time I was already into hardcore porn.

I remember all that like if it was yesterday. God I miss being 14.

I seen N'sync for free at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds back in August of 1998. They did 2 shows. One during the day and one at night. The night one was better.

Remember the Rolling Stone Cover Issue of Britney Spears with the Teletubbie stuffed animal. God that was hot.

Was that the same one where she was riding a bicycle with training wheels? Rolling Stone was sick for doing that...

Garbage is still around.

Shirley was in the She Wants Revenge Video for "these things".

On a side note Garbage first album is the oldest CD i own. i've had it since I was 11 years old.

Harvey Danger is one band that I hope randomly pops up at Coachella one year.

ten years ago? really? so I was 10-ish when this song came out???

this song was the beginning of a whole new chapter in my life, one that loved Britney, 'NSYNC, choreographed(sp?) dances, wild and glittery outfits and undeniably catchy pop tunes

so for 10 years i've been a Britney fan and supporter, even through all the chaos

hahaha, I realize my lameness

Ugh...I was in college when that song came out! I feel so old...

That doesn't hurt as much as the NKOTB reunion, though. I saw them in concert...almost 20 years ago. Ouch.

yes... i remember making lots of fun of that stupid school girl back in high school... God, I'm not even old but when I realized my 10 year high school reunion is coming in just a couple more years... ay. I better get going on doing something with my life...

ah, fuck that. I'll be happy drinking and getting high and going to lots of festivals and shows just like I was 10 years ago...

I remember the other photo. It was just as creepy. It's got her flaunting around in her living room while her bro lies on the floor and Jamie Lynn is dressed up like a li'l mini-Madonna.

Or did you mean the one where she's surrounded by little boys climbing on a fence?

number one pet peeve of all time....talk like a normal person, ******.

Couldn't help myself. ;)

While I'm bothered by the use of "******" as an insult, I was even more bothered by the fact that it wasn't preceded by a comma. Thanks, college.
