I'm not going into an indepth review. You were there, you know what you like and didn't

like.

In case you're interested, all photos were taken with a Canon S3 in either manual or program

mode. No additional lenses, no filters. Processing was generally limited to adjusting levels

& contrast. I either resized or cropped some of the pics. I used neatimage on a lot of the

pics to clean up some of the noise from using a high iso setting.

For me '08 was more 'uneven' than '07 in that there were more unbelievably good performances

this year than last even if '07 had more bands that I wanted to see.

I got in early on Fri to get an emek poster and after stashing it went to check out the

sights and the first band of the day; Rogue Wave. They were workmanlike. I really only know

one of their tracks which they duly played much to the appreciation of the crowd.

Next up was Battles. I had seen them at Vegoose and was looking forward to them again. Great

stuff. My buddy liked them so much he went and picked up 'Mirrored' right afterwards.

After catching some of Architecture in Helsinki from afar (and really liking what I heard) I

headed off then to the Mainstage to get a good spot for The Breeders. I was keen to see what

they could do. They were v.disappointing. Unprepared & sloppy. I expected better; at least

they played Cannonball

Caught a little bit of Tegan & Sara. Good stuff. Those girls look like they need some food

though.

I had seen The Raconteurs 3 nights before Coachella in PDX and I was stoked to be able to

see them again. One of *the* highlights of the w/end. I hope they do a bigger tour later

this year.

I hadn't planned on leaving my spot but I had to run to the can before The Verve and I

managed to catch some of The Swell Season. Excellent stuff in the few minutes I saw. It's

heartening to see Glen & co. get some success after all the years they've spent on the road.

I've seen The Frames many, many times and it's wonderful.

I didn't want to push my way back to the front for The Verve so hung back a bit. They were

way, way better than I thought they would be and a perfect follow up to The Raconteurs. They were my last act of Fri as I got fed up waiting for FatBoy Tardy.
