Looks like Vancouver's Virgin Festival was put on hold for 2008. I'm guessing Pemberton might have impacted the decision?

FUCK, The Prodigy, RATM, Tool were all rumored to headline according to me! It was gonna be good times... hopefully next year they'll make up for it.

How wise of an investment was that belt buckle now, motherfucker?

Im betting this main reason of this cancelling is to do with Pemberton. Meh. Not really that big of a deal. V-fest 2007 in Vancouver sucked ass anyways.

Pemberton most definitely has something to do with this.

Agreed. Judging by the shitty lineup that is Calgary's V-Fest...I think Pemberton has arranged for some pretty good acts to be there, and Van V-Fest cannot top that now. I think V-Fest (except maybe Baltimore...TO is not too bad either) is dying before it could really even become considered something great. Lack of up-and-coming talent (like Coachella, etc.) and weak headliners can do that to a fest.
See you at Pemberton!

v fest toronto looks great. - great local too.
the main reason for no v vancouver is - THERE ARE TOO MANY FESTIVALS this year, period. Concert dollars are strapped these days and even with the different cities, there just isn't enough people who will repeatedly drop $300-700 on a festival weekend, every month.
I go to 2 or 3 fests a year. Usually that is Coachella, Lolla and Pitchfork.
This year that is APW, V Fest Toronto, and Pitchfork. I wouldn't want to spend anymore as those 3 are the cheapest for me to do this year. I woulda like to have done Coachella this year (as you all know) or Pemberton as well.
