This year, I stopped by a party put on by some friends I had at Anthem Magazine, and I will never go to Coachella again without going back to that party!

You can check out all the photos I took at my site http://www.metrowize.com/photos/anthem-magazine-pool-party-photos-coachella

That place looks to be filled with unpleasant people.

It actually seems like a good time, but if I'm not mistaken, didn't it go Saturday afternoon? I'd never go to a Coachella-related party while the festival is never going. I had a good time at the Filter party, so I think I'll stick to that.

Not sure about the hate, party looks fun, and you got some cool photos. There are a bunch of A-holes on here just waiting to jump at the throat of anything they werent at.

Timing of the party sucked though. Inflatable pool toys are awesome.

As fun as it looks, would you go to it if it occured during the actual festival? I'm not sure if it was before or after, but of some other pics I saw, I heard Boys Noize played this party. That almost woulda been worth it right there lol.

Noizy Boy did play! The dj's they had during the day were better than some of the Sahara acts!

Tobey, these photos are amazing! Calmerthanyou and Botrocker, I like you guys, positive all the way!!! As far as the haters, Anthem Magazine has thrown the most insane party during the festival four years in a row. Last year Justice and even Tomas from Daft Punk DJed to the scantily clad crowd. For you naysayers, this isn't for the public anyway. Those invited are either readers of the magazine, VIP guests, models, celebs or musicians themselves. As far as talent, these guys NAILED it this year with a lineup that most Americans will never see in their lifetime: Spencer Product of New York's Rough Club, Justin Miller of the famed DFA Records, The EdBanger Records Whiplash Squad (use your imagination kids...they were allll there), M.A.N.D.Y., Noizy Boy (again, use your imagination), Claude VonStroke, Surkin and even Para One. Erol Alkan even stopped by as well. If he had jumped on the decks I think the party would have imploded on itself! Daytime festival goers have their fun, I'm sure; however, if you ever want to trade in sweating your balls off with gothraveremohippies I would suggest trying to ride in on the back of your actor/model friend next year. It's the best daytime party during Coachella, hands down, and perhaps the most amazing fiesta I've been to in my entire life...

You've made a damn good case for missing half the day and goin to this thing. Is it as simple as subscribing to the magazine to get an invite?

It was on the way to coachella for me, so it worked out perfect. I think it was in Palm Desert? Definitely an awesome warm up to the festival. Next year, we'll get there right at noon and chill two hours tops. We didn't leave until like 4 or 5 on Sunday!

Man I couldn't leave during the festival to go to some pool party. Looks like it was a lot of fun but I'd rather do it before or after the fest.

Saturday was too good to miss for a party. That said, the party looks really fun. Did anyone go to both the Filter party and the Anthem party? I went to Filter and it was awesome. I want to know how they compare.
