God! That would mess up my equilibrium. I think that would probably kick ass in October, but then late April '09 would roll around and I'd feel empty. Very empty. So I don't want late October. I wouldn't mind the 'fest being a week or 2 earlier though. It would alos accomodate most college students more, because the 'fest runs right up against finals week for a lot of students.

If you aren't coming to Coachella because of college finals, you fail at life.

The polo fields are actually being used for polo up until about 2 weeks before the festival, so it really can't be any earlier.

October? That'd be so fucking awesome, weather-wise.

Methinks the fest is best late April because of where the sun is located, if it were in October the sun would be too far south and would be in everyones eyes all day. esp the poor main/outdoor stage performers.

I have gone to coachella every year I have been in college.

I have never failed a class due to Coachella.

There are MANY weekends each semester in which I don't study at all. Coachella is just one of them. Many times I bring a school book to read while studying.

2009 Coachella I won't been college any more, w00t!

I thought the timing was perfect this year. Obv a little earlier would be ideal, but since it IS a polo field, I guess it makes sense to wait til after polo season.

Early April would be nice but i dont really care. I either have midterms the week before or after Coachella.

I think you better not let your professors see that one, or they'll withhold your diploma.

I'm betting on last weekend of April again...as it has been for several years. Plus, those of you that think October would have better weather obviously weren't at 99...yikes! Be thankful they switched it to April!

The sooner the better! All I have been talking about is how much fun I had & how I can't wait until next year.

I spent too many years missing Coachella earning my B.A. and Master's that I quite possibly have failed at life...

That said, I have been blessed to have attended 4 years and I'll make sure that I won't miss another one unless death gets in the way. If that's the case, I'll still go somehow...

I'm booking a room for the last weekend of April. Just don't book it on one of those websites that makes you pay for it upfront. That way, if you've guessed the wrong dates, you can just cancel the reservation with no penalty.

I can't book until January because I'd have to pay my timeshares fees for 2009 right now. I should be OK in January.

I'm hoping for Bowie and MBV next year.

I'm predicting April 24-26 for Coachella next year.

I think if Coachella were to be in October, the weather would pretty much be the same as it is in late April....I think? I can't recall what the weather is like in the desert around October.

I can't recall what the weather is like in the desert around October.

Extremely fucking hot.

I went in 99...if you can track down what the weather was, I believe (but cant be sure) that it was 100+ each day.
