Fool heartedly agree. It's like, You know what? FUCK YOU! I clearly barely reach your shoulder in height so, yes. Why NOT stand RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! It makes PERFECT sense.

EDIT: For those who will read this message and then post a hasty and bullshit reply....

Yes it sucks, when shorter people are douches and bogart their way in front of you. I don't do that.

Yes when you're shorter you should get to the show early so that you can get to the front without being a douche. I DO do that.

Yes it's pointless to situate ones self behind someone taller then you, only to whine about it. I DON'T do that.

I am already 6'6". An extra two feet wouldn't hurt. Shrinky 2 and half feet would be far to weird.

if you are 8'6" and everything is proportionate, that's some massive manhood

TheWatcher

I think that someone 8'6" would likely be suffering from some disorder that is likely to lead to early death, while being a midget may not be as deadly. Also, being 8'6" would mean not fitting anywhere. The normal ceiling height here in the US is 8'. Being short would mean needing special seats for driving a car, and some problems seeing at concerts, but I could basically still go anywhere I wanted w/o special accommodations. Kids can deal with being 4' right?

Being 4' would suck but being 8'6" would suck more.

Nope, I'm not overly aggressive and always trying to prove me worth. I pre-empt that problem by working my way to the VERY front. However, there are times were people will stand in front of you when they're obviously a couple heads taller, ad that's just.. Such a douche thing to do

I was going to post a photo from an earlier olympics that had a very short gymnast (about 4'6") and an American basketball player (about 7'6"), standing together with their medals. I think it might have been Shaquille O'Neal? But I couldn't find it.

well I'm 6'6, and understand that i will be standing in front of people shorter than me. this is why i do not cut in front of people, unless i am (honestly) going to see someone i was with earlier. but there is nothing worse than getting to a show early, standing there, and then having some short douche bag give you crap because they showed up after you and they cant see the show now. Boo-hoo. get there earlier. If you move a step to your right, or a step to your left you could have seen, but you choose to stand right behind me. I'm not moving to the back for you. ever.

but then again, short or tall, cutting in front of people at a show is the lamest of asshole moves. so don't pre-empt it by cutting in front of people who were there before you. pre-empt it by arriving earlier. if a short person cuts in front of me when i have been there awhile at coachella, i will cut right back in front of them.

I AM there earlier! You can't get to the very front of the stage seconds before they go on. I think though, that you've had more problems with douchy short people that I have with douchy tall people. You're super touchy/aggressive about it... lol

If a tall person cut in front of you, then yes, they are a douche. However, if you go to a show and a tall person arrived at the show before you and got a better spot than you and you choose to stand behind the tall person, it is your fault. Don't complain if you choose to stand behind a tall person.

Actually, a midget is proportioned the same as any "average" person. You are thinking of some other condition that causes lack of height. Dwarfism maybe?

wait, how many old midgets do you see? really?

Well, not technically midgets, but very short:

I think the definition of midget probably varies depending on ethnicity. However, for Caucasians it's under 5'2" for men and 4'6" for women (at least the last time I checked). Obviously for races that have a lot of people under this height the definition would not apply.

Also, my daughter's great-grandmother was about 4'6" 80lbs, and lived to be in her 90s or something.

Fool heartedly agree. It's like, You know what? FUCK YOU! I clearly barely reach your shoulder in height so, yes. Why NOT stand RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! It makes PERFECT sense.

i am 6'4" and will generally allow people considerably shorter than i to move in front of me at a show, but if you think i'm going to stand in the very back when i go there early simply because i am tall and that you're entitled to something because you're short then fuck you

being short is not a ticket to the front. i will be considerate but if you really want to see then you better put in the time and not ask for handouts

EDIT: and after reading some more, ragdoll this comment is not neccessarily aime directly at you, but in general. i go to a lot of shows and take a lot of flack for being tall. Even i end up getting stuff behind some guy who is a little talller or the same height and have a freaking head in my face the entire time

Being 4' would be more convenient - the world IS designed for short people (aka children). At 8' 6" you'd be hitting your head a lot.

However, at 4' as a male your chances of getting laid by non-midgets probably drops to around 0. There have to be some freaky chicks who'll get down with a giant.

Awesome poll, btw.

I wasn't answering in a pissy mood. Actually, I was just trying to give you the perspective from a tall person. I was genuinely trying to inform, not upset. Sorry if you read my post that way, but it was not meant to be pissy or hostile or anything like that. Im a pretty easy going guy. "Pissy" isn't my style.
