I was living in the UK in 2001 so didn't attend Coachella, but in cruising the oft erroneous world of Wikipedia I noticed that they list Bad Company as one of the 2001 performers.

I assume that's a load of Wiki-crap, right? They're certainly not on the poster.

Bad Company was there, but not the shitty rock band. It was the Drum and Bass group.

Ok, that makes sense. The Wiki link from their Coachella page goes to a page talking about the 70s rock schlock group, not the drum and bass outfit.

Thanks for clarifying.

Since I didn't go in 2001, I really can't attest to whether or not this drum and bass group was any good or bad...Chances are pretty good that at your age, you've probably never witnessed Bad Co live either...They were one of the first shows I went to and were one of the best during the 70's...You weren't even sperm yet, so how would you know?

Bad Co. VS Bad Taste? Go figure. And if something is tight as fuck and tastes bad, you're eating it wrong!

I was there. Bad Company's set sucked. There was an extra tent that year I believe that had mostly DnB and Hip Hop/Turntablist acts (Planet of the Drums, Bad Company, Z-Trip, Kruder & Dorfmeister, etc)

That was my first Coachella and I can't believe it was really nine fucking years ago.

"bad company, till the day I die" isn't exactly a ringing self endorsement and not likely to attract new fans
