Using this (http://www.coachella.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17562) thread, I compiled a list of everyones favorite acts at Coachella this year. And the results are in. Your favorites are...

Friday:
Aphex Twin (48)
The Raconteurs (36)
Fatboy Slim (34)

Saturday:
Portishead (60)
Kraftwerk (33)
Hot Chip (23)

Sunday:
Roger Waters (71)
Justice (39)
Gogol Bordello (27)

These are the top 3 votes acts for each day. This poll should find out the favorite of this year. Also, Prince will be included in this poll, because if he were added before this thread was made, he sure would have been included.

This poll will conclude the morning of April 22. Which will be, hopefully, either the day of, or day after set times come out. So, you have 8 days to vote. Choose carefully.

Definitely Portishead, followed by Hot Chip from this list.

I figure this is going to be a toss up between Portishead and Prince. But who knows, Roger Waters got more votes then anyone else after all. And who knows how the smaller artists like Hot Chip and Gogol Bordello will effect the voting.

It seems that people are voting more on the other poll.
That sucks.

from this list, it's wierd but doesn't represent what I'm looking forward to or what comes to mind when I think about this year. For me, it'll all be about Battles, The National, The Swell Season, Modeselektor, Animal Collective.

I think that this is because my favorite moments from years past are those like Mogwai, LCD Soundsystem, The Black Keys, Interpol. Not necessarily the headlining acts (Tool, Bjork, etc) but more the acts that I was really listening to the most at the time.

However, from this list, not one of these will be a disappointing show (except maybe....nah never mind, you guys will enjoy those two).

the verve?

Like I said, I made THIS (http://www.coachella.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17562) thread, and according to the people, The Verve aren't on the top 3 for Friday, but the Raconteurs are. 36 people put the Raconteurs on their Top 3, while only 21 people put The Verve on their Top 3. That is why the Verve is not included on this poll.

Freshman year of high school: the guy that sat next to me in English was a HUGE Prince fan. he would constantly burn me CD's and stuff to get me to like Prince. I am now also a huge Prince fan, and he is my most-looking-forward to act. Followed by Portishead and Aphex Twin.

I do not understand all the love for Portishead. I got the NYC live thing and from what i heard she is not the greatest singer live in the world. All the music sounds very similar. I do not mean to be hating on your favorite artist at coachella but...why do you like them?

I like Portishead because of the layered complexity of the music, which fuses jazz, rock, dub, hip-hop, and many other styles. While Beth Gibbons is not the greatest singer, the thin frailty of her voice exudes a vulnerability that I find disarming. But not everyone can dig it, and that's cool, no one expects you to, well, I don't, maybe some others have different opinions on it.

I am shocked by the lack of people who have voted for Kraftwerk.

Eh, Kraftwerk is kinda old news. Yeah they are legends but they have played Coachella before and they don't have any new material out. So it makes sense.

Aphex, Roger, Prince and Portishead are all rare this year.

You can't say Kraftwerk are old news, when Roger Waters and Prince are playing.

I was originally deciding between voting for Portishead, Prince or Roger Waters. However, those 3 are way further ahead than anyone else. So I am trying to decide between Kraftwerk and Gogol...

i can't say any of the headliners get me super duper excited musically. weird but i want to see the majority of them. i think kraftwerk is who i want to see the most out of the big names but fortunately, i always have more fun at the smaller stages.

Portishead is a head of Prince? I am kind of surprised.

I still have yet to decide who I am going to vote for.

I've decided I giving my love to Gogol. I am more excited about Prince, Kraftwerk, Portishead and Roger Waters... but I need to give Gogol some love here.

this was a tough one...it was a 3 way tie with Aphex, Portishead and Kraftwerk,,,but seeing how I was into Aphex before the other 2 and I have been asking for him since 2001...I went with him...plus I listened to his music so much, its in my DNA...
