I belong in this thread. All I really know is that the song "Kiss" needs to be played at a very high volume, and that "Get Off" makes me feel dirty.

The Batman soundtrack is essential.

Likewise. If anyone can make a .zip file of a bunch of Prince songs for n00bs and upload it, I'd greatly appreciate it. This is the one artist that I really want to get into.

Go and get all the hit compilations for starters. That's what I did when I first heard the rumor.

Overall meh there are some decent tracks that he will most likely play, but the hits should be just fine.

I like Musicology, though it had to grow on me; haven't heard the newest one.

I think Prince recently sued Youtube for posting his stuff. Oh well.

I gotta find a collection of his B sides somewhere. I have all his big released and not much else.

I like his new stuff alright as well. 3121 had some really good songs (Fury, "Te Amo Corazón" Black Sweat, BEautiful Loved and Blessed and Get on THe boat)

Planet Earth wasn't as hot but had some good stuff

You pretty much can't go wrong starting with the following:

1999
Purple Rain
Around the World in a Day
Sign O' The Times

I named my radio show Around the World in a Day. Sign O' the Times may be his best, but Dirty Mind is so damn good. Sister is a fantastic song about incest and When You Were Mine is probably my favorite Prince song. I've listened to everything from Dirty Mind until the first Symbol album, and then the last three. Prince is a heroic add.
