The Future Sound of London - Enviroments 3

Its kinda sad that they seem to be happy not pushing music forward these days. The Enviroments albums are great but definitely stuck in re-visit mode. They play around with some glitching and ambient piano, but it still very old-school FSOL sounding minus the teeth they used to have. These Enviroments albums along with the psychedelic mixes and albums they have been putting seem like a possible valid replacement for those horrible Earth sounds kiosks.

Basically its good stuff thats floating uncomfortably close to that bull-shit new age garbage.

I requested this a looooong time ago on What.cd, I think it was one of the first things I did on there. It was even filled a long time ago, I just forgot about it. I'm finally listening to it, and it sounds like a nice mix between prog-rock/krautrock/Jazz. Charles Hayward (This Heat, Camberwell Now) is the drummer, hence why I requested it. I can group it if there is any interest. Two songs in, it sounds way better than I had anticipated.
