BLEED AMERICAN DELUXE OUT APRIL 29
2-Disc Edition Features Rare Import Tracks, B-Sides, Previously Unreleased Live And Demo Tracks, Newly Recorded "Your House 2007"

This 2-disc deluxe edition of Bleed American not only restores the record's original title-the band re-titled the record Jimmy Eat World following the events of 9/11 and the subsequent deployment of U.S. troops to the Middle East-but also provides further documentation of Jimmy Eat World's powerful and prolific output circa 2001-2002: Obscure fan favorites "No Sensitivity," "Softer" and "(Splash) Turn Twist," the collectors item holiday single "Last Christmas"/"Firestarter," the band's cover of Guided By Voices' "Game of Pricks," and the piece de resistance, the never before heard "Your House 2007." The stunning reimagining of the Bleed American track the band debuted on its 2007 stripped down semi-acoustic tour elicited an unexpectedly intense response from fans at the shows and later on message boards, moving the band to commit the arrangement to tape to honor its fans if nothing else...

The 2-disc Bleed American deluxe collects all this and more for the first time in one place, creating an essential and comprehensive document for any fan of Jimmy Eat World-or any fan of what USA TODAY called "euphoric, uplifting, reassuring rock."

Agreed, but...the material is there for this time period. And a reason...most copies do not have the proper title.

I don't really need to hear the extended mix of Goodbye Sky Harbor either. :D

Man. I'm gonna have to get that. I bought Bleed American when it was still Bleed American tho. Clarity was re-released with a couple bonus tracks last year, I believe. I didn't even know about it until like a month ago.

Lame, I like having the original, then they retitled, so stupid.

Oh my god. I will probably get this JUST for the Firestarter cover. That is fucking awesome. Just as a random fact, this was one of the very first albums I ever bought.

Sweetness always reminds me of freshman year of college. I had people living in my dorm that would sing that song everytime they got drunk. You could hear some drunk guy singing in the forest then someone else would join in. always great.

Although I have somewhat outgrown this band, Clarity, Static Prevails, and Bleed American are all still fantastic albums. Goodbye Sky Harbor live used to be fucking fantastic. I have no idea if they still play it anymore...

I remember a time when Sweetness and No Sensitivity were special songs, years before bleed american came out...then they put Sweetness on Bleed American...and then it got overplayed to no end....then it got ruined for me.

No Sensitivity is still a special song.

I've seen them four times and they haven't played it yet.

Glad to see that back in the rotation. They need to bust out the 16 minute version live. 5 minutes doesn't do it justice.
