This is a question for those people I see walking past me while I wait in the coachella car line. Some people park in residential areas, or in some clever area, and walk a big distance into the festival.
Has anyone tried this for reducing time to freeway at the end of the show?
Anyone have any tricks/tips/suggestions for dealing with the crazy end of the night car madness?
Thanks everyone!

ive never really had a problem getting out at night. the line moves quickly and its alot more comfortable sitting in your car after all day of walking around than to walk a mile to your car afterwards. if you dont want to wait in the line, you can always just hang out till it slows down. i have heard of ppl taking a nap while waiting for the line to die down.

Yeah getting out of the lot was really quick last year. Getting in though was hell for me.

i wouldn't walk for more than a mile and a half. i've done it when renting a house nearby. it's doable.

this is when onsite camping comes in handy :)

I once walked to and from the venue from the Motel 6 in Indio. It was a couple miles I guess.

well last year there was a guy who walked past my car, but in the long run we beat him, because he was wearing this ugly quicksilver shirt and all i could think was "that shirt is ugly!". but none the less I remember him and passing him in the car even though he passed us before.

we walked last year...its about a half-hour was door-to-entrance for us
pretty good deal but the walk back at the end of the night is BRUTAL...(thankfully, the hot-tub's always on!)
